2 days later.

I grab the black lighter from off my bedside table, lighting a cigarette as I bring it in between my lips.

I grab cat food from the cabinet, pour some into the cat's bowl and then put it back into the cabinet.

I inhale the smoke as I make my way over to the window and then open it. I blow the smoke out the window as I watch it disappear in the air.

My eyes travel to the ground, looking at the people lying down on the grass or playing soccer.

It's Friday after school, meaning everyone is outside and doing things people do on the weekends.

I ended up not going to the game yesterday, not wanting to see Leo at all.

Sapnap stopped by earlier to tell punz about Clay. They all apparently have a lot in common.

I spot the group sitting outside on a huge blanket, having a picnic and having fun with each other.

I also spot a blonde. A new yet familiar face I remember.

Clay.

I guess he fit in just enough to hang out with them.

My phone starts to ring and vibrate from inside my pocket.

I take it out, seeing the Caller ID on the screen and answer immediately.

"George!" Hero says with an excited voice.

"Alex said you were going to call me days ago," I say, "was starting to think you forgot about me"

"Sorry, Charlie has been bugging me nonstop about my friend Luca. She has a crush on him and won't stop asking for his number—" he says, only to be cut off.

"Not true!" Charlie shouts, "George he's lying!"

"Nuh-uh! You fancy Luca" Hero says.

"George come back to England and help me hide a body," Charlie says exhausted.

"I'm sure your fine Charlie," I say, "how's school for you guys?"

"Good" Hero says quietly.

"Liar" Charlie mumbles.

"What does she mean by that?" I ask.

"Nothing!" Hero says nervously, "She's been delusional lately, mum and dad are worried—"

"About me?! Have you seen yourself!" Charlie shouts.

"What does she mean?" I ask again.

"I mean—"

I hear a ruffling sound before Charlie speaks, her voice clearer now.

"He's being an idiot, he's one of those skateboarders now," Charlie says quickly.

"Am not!" Hero yells, taking the phone back from her, her voice now becoming background noise.

"I never—" he stops talking.

"Hang up! Hang u—" Charlie's voice cuts out, and the sound of a beeping tone replaces their voices.

I bring the phone down, looking at it before giggling.

Handful they are.

The door opens and I turn around, seeing Punz appear in the doorway.
