Lucy stood outside one of the many doors that littered the castle. The day was nearly done as the moon illuminated the castle. As soon as she finished having dinner at the Great hall, she made her way over to this section of the castle. She felt slightly nervous, more so than normal. She froze in front of the door, holding her wand in her hands. She gently rubbed the gruff wood with her thumbs, a single flick of her wrist would break the wood in two. She let out a deep breath as she held the wand in her right hand and walked through the door.
"You wanted to see me?" Lucy stuffed her wand into her pocket as she looked forward.
"Thank Merlin you're alright!" Professor Fig quickly went over to her, giving her a hug. Lucy smiled sheepishly, returning the gesture, "I haven't heard the whole story yet, but I want you to tell me everything that happened."
"I would like to know as well. Mr. Sallow filled me in on what he knew, but I'm sure you may have just a bit more insight." Professor Weasley stepped forward as well.
"Of course, though it is a bit of a long story." Lucy scratched the side of her arm as she sat down in one of the chairs in Fig's classroom.
It was Friday, the day before she was supposed to meet Sebastian. The third letter she had received was Professor Fig asking her to come and meet with him, this time to talk outside of the whole trial business. She had a feeling it would be about her attack, but wasn't sure until now. She worked on a few other things as she waited for this day to come. Deek managed to teach her how to use a nab sack and the caretaker, Mr. Moon, taught her to use alohomora.
Lucy swallowed softly as she began. She started by talking about how Sebastian had gotten hurt, using a broom to get him to the hospital wing and nearly running into the headmaster with her broom, everything up until she passed out.
"That scything, worthless excuse of a headmaster." Professor Weasley scoffed. As Lucy told her story, Professor Weasley's face slowly got more red. Until now, the color of her face nearly matched her hair, "I do all of the dirty work so he can lounge in his study doing Merlin knows what, then he has the audacity to do this to a student no less. I'm going to contact the Ministry at once and request his removal as headmaster." Weasley paced back and forth, throwing her hands up in anger as she spoke.
Lucy's eyes widened seeing her like that. She was used to seeing a calm and collected deputy headmistress, but this was the complete opposite of that demenior.
"I'm sorry I must go write some letters." Her eyes softened for a moment as she looked at Lucy, "I'm glad you are okay though. Make sure you rest as much as you need. Take a few days off school if you need to." Professor Weasley quickly walked out after that.
"I've never seen her that angry before." Lucy turned to Professor Fig as soon as the door shut.
"Nor have I, though she never ceases to surprise me. The lengths she'll go for the students is a true headmaster quality." Fig shook his head, "But, I am glad she's doing this. It simply would not be right if Black gets away with this."
Lucy nodded, "I hope he or at the very least, Marvolo is punished."
"My sentiments exactly. But don't forget, you are under my watch. Should you need anything, even if it isn't to do with the keepers, my door is always open." Fig clasped his hands in front of him.
"Thank you for being so kind to me, Professor. Things should, hopefully, cool down now. I'm going with Sebastian to meet his sister tomorrow." Lucy smiled, excitedly as she rose to her feet.
"It's a good thing you and Mr. Sallow have gotten close. I'm afraid the other day could've been worse if he hadn't shown up. Though, do be careful. You know Rookwood and Ranrok's lot have been scouring about the region." Professor Fig warned.
