"MARI... I have to tell you something." I say, BASIL's hand in mine.
He is shaking, I am shaking, we are both a mess.
"Tell me." Her voice is soft and beautiful.
"It was my fault." I blurt.
"Sit down, SUNNY. Explain everything." She pats the bed next to her.
We both sit down. I keep BASIL as close to me as I can, for my mental state, for his, for the fact we both feel like we're going to die right now.
I explain everything.
"I love you. Forever. You two did nothing wrong. Never ever, nothing. " She whispers, and hugs us.
I start to cry.
