Sam pulled the truck right up to the house and he looked over at Olivia, as she was now getting out of the truck and she walked quickly into the house to get away from the rain.
"You look frozen. Exactly how long were you out there on the beach and stuff?" Sam asked as she was pulling off her shoes and putting them on the rack.
"No idea." Olivia answered truthfully as she was hanging up her coat as she shivered. "It okay if I have a shower?"
"Go for it." Olivia took off toward the bathroom like she was on fire, which Sam laughed quietly at and the door was quickly shutting and locking after her. "I'll go get you some clothes." He said as he went by.
"Thanks." Came the muffled reply as the sound of the water running was a moment later, clearly heard.
Sam brought the clothes back down and he left them outside of the locked bathroom and he went into the living room. Sam unfolded the pullout couch and after a few minutes, he was able to hear Olivia coming out.
Olivia walked into the living room in an oversized hoodie and a pair of ball shorts. "Thanks for the clothes." She said and Sam shrugged, glancing over at her.
"You're just too tall for Carmen's shirts." Sam replied simply as he had gotten the pullout couch set up.
"I'm not stealing your room with you still in the house Sam, I can sleep and stay in Carmen's room." She said and Sam was shaking his head.
"She hates having uninvited people coming into her bedroom. She might actually hurt you." Sam replied and Olivia sighed.
"Then I'll sleep on the couch." Olivia said and Sam shook his head. "Look, I get it about the guest thing. But I'm not going to sleep in your room." She said and they stared at each other for a second.
"Fine." Sam recognized when he wasn't going to win an argument with her and he glanced over to the TV. "Oh hey, Star Wars is on." He said as at the words, Olivia's eyes lit up and she was jumping onto the couch. "Which one is it?"
"Empire Strikes Back." Olivia said with a grin as she was grabbing the remote and turning up the volume on the TV. "You coming?" She asked.
"I'm making popcorn." Sam said and after the popcorn had finally popped, he was racing back into the room. "So, where are we?" He asked as he came back with a bowl.
"Hoth, Luke is seeing Ben." Olivia spoke up with her eyes still glued to the TV and she grabbed a handful of popcorn out of the bowl and Sam was sitting down next to her, as the movie kept playing.
After watching both Empire Strikes Back and also the Return of the Jedi, Olivia was out like a light and quietly snoring with her head on his shoulder and Sam was shaking his head.
Sam glanced down at her with a quiet smile and she was soundly asleep and he reached for the remote, shutting off the TV and trying not to wake her up.
Sam carefully backed up and Olivia was completely out as he walked over to the kitchen and put the bowl down.
Sam carefully picked her up and Olivia shifted around and curled up more into a ball, as Sam waited until she was done moving and he carried her up to his room in silence.
Sam put her on the bed and Olivia immediately rolled to the left and she nearly fell off of the bed, but Sam had thought of it and he caught her.
It almost, almost seemed like for a second there she was going to wake up, but then her breathing was slowing down again.
Sam put her back on the bed and he went into Carmen's room, taking all of the pillows that he could carry.
Sam walked back into his room and he was quickly looking down, at the floor to the right of his bed, where Olivia was now soundly asleep.
"I was gone for a minute." He muttered and he tucked a couple of pillows under her head and she was snoring quietly. Sam put the rest of the pillows next to her and he put a blanket over her, before he was walking out of the room.
Olivia blinked quickly as sunlight flooded into the room through the windows. "Huh, what?" She asked as she looked around at the mountain of pillows and blankets around her.
Olivia grumbled as she got up off of the floor quickly. After going straight to the bathroom, Olivia was walking down the stairs and she was rubbing her eyes.
"Morning." She jumped at the word and Sam was looking at her from the kitchen table. "It's just me, Liv, your parents don't even know that you're here." Sam pointed out as Olivia was nodding slightly. "Food's on the stove."
"Thanks." Olivia said and she was walking over to the stove quickly, as she was piling a bunch of food onto a plate and she was walking back over to Sam, holding the plate quickly now in her hands.
Olivia tripped, stumbling and Sam caught the plate before it fell, only to get a piece of French toast in the face.
"Nice catch! But, also... Ha!" Olivia said as Sam put the plate on the table and he promptly threw a piece of French toast at her and it hit Olivia in the face. "Okay... I deserved that." She agreed as she pulled it off of her face, she took a bite. "It's good." She said as he shrugged.
"What, you thought that my cooking skills had been exaggerated?" Sam asked.
"Yup." Olivia said as she finished the French toast and she was digging real quickly into the rest of her food, as she was eating more food considering that she had eaten only popcorn, the night before for dinner.
"I'm going to go and fix up Carmen's room back up, before she gets here." Sam said and Olivia raised her eyebrows at him quickly, looking a bit like a chipmunk, with all of the food crammed into her cheeks and Sam laughed. "You can have the rest on the stove, Carmen will have eaten at the Clearwaters' anyways." He said and Olivia grinned at him, before she went back to her food and got more after a little while.
"Hey Sam, I'm home!" Carmen hollered as she walked into the house and Olivia was just washing the dishes. "Hey Liv, I heard that you were moving to Forks. True or false?" Carmen asked as Olivia finished up washing the dishes and she shut off the tap.
"According to Mrs. Ateara and Old Quil, yeah it's true. Apparently, Chief Charlie Swan has just offered to take me into his house until I find a more permanent solution. Or in Mrs. Ateara's eyes, until they can find a way to get rid of me." Olivia noted.
"Sam!" Carmen loudly hollered her brother's name at the top of her lungs and he came running.
"What?" Sam asked as he quickly walked over to them.
"Why can't she just stay with us and drive to Forks every day?" Carmen asked as Sam looked at her with disbelief in his eyes. "You can sleep on the couch, Sam." Carmen added, and Olivia was already shaking her head.
"I'm not kicking Sam out of his room, Car, don't even try it." Olivia interjected before Sam could say anything. "I appreciate the offer, but, I should probably get home to get my stuff before they just decide to throw it all out onto the lawn." Olivia said.
"I'll drive." Sam said and he held up the keys to his truck as Olivia went to get her shoes on.
