"Hey!" The peaceful silence had been annoyingly interrupted by Opal, who had called out and Olivia groaned in sheer annoyance.

Olivia looked over at Sam, who was lying next to her with an amused look in his eyes and she was shaking her head. "Just shove off, would you?" She asked and he chuckled at the words. "Idiotic son of a donkey." She mumbled and then at the words, Sam burst out laughing, he just couldn't help it.

"Embry is with her." Sam said and he opened his arms to let Olivia out, as she sighed.

"Do I have to get up?" Olivia asked as he looked at her, before he shrugged.

"Nope." Sam said and he scooped her up with ease and Olivia laughed in surprise, as she was shaking her head.

"Okay, okay! I'll walk, I'll walk! I still have my own legs, you know." Olivia said as she was shaking her head quickly, when Sam finally put her back down onto the floor.

It had been three weeks since Embry had phased and he was finally getting more and more comfortable to come around for the food, he had even come without Opal the last time.

Not that he had much of a choice in the matter, unless he wanted to run the later patrols on an empty stomach.

Olivia rubbed her eyes to clear the last of the sleep away, as she walked swiftly down the stairs. Sam followed her down the stairs and Olivia grunted in annoyance, at the sight of Embry and Opal already getting into the food.

"She told me I could do it." Embry said at once with a nearly full mouth, pointing over at Opal.

"Opal, come on." Olivia said with an exasperated tone and Opal looked at her with a shrug. "I should at least get to cook most of this first." She said as Opal shrugged a little.

"We were hungry..."

"You're always hungry!" Olivia shot back hard and Opal flinched at the shout. "I know that your metabolism burns out insanely fast and that you constantly need food. Just try to remember that the human in the room who just cooks and bought all of the food. She needs food too." Olivia said as she reached into the fridge and she pulled out a small chicken pot pie that she had made for herself and yet somehow, that hadn't been eaten yet by the constantly eating wolves.

"I'll meet you guys out there." Sam said and a moment later, Opal and Embry were both walking outside and he sighed. "I'll buy more food when I go out..."

"Don't worry about it." Olivia said quietly and she was picking at the pot pie in silence, as she shook her head. "I can't eat this." She said and she covered it back up and put it in the fridge.

Sam looked over at her with concern in his eyes. "Should I be worried about why you're not eating?" He asked and she sighed at the words, pulling something out of her pocket and she held it out to him.

Sam took it and he looked down at it in surprise. It didn't even occur to him what it was, until he saw the markings on it. "Are you serious?" He asked and she nodded at the words. "You're pregnant?" He asked and she nodded a little.

"Yeah." Olivia murmured and Sam looked down at her with bright eyes and she was hugging him. "That's why I haven't been eating much, why my hormones have been completely whacked and why I have been snapping at everyone for the longest time. I never meant to, Sam, I swear." She said and he nodded.

"In defense of your constant annoyance in regard to the food intake of the pack, none of them ever pay us back for the food." Sam pointed out and she nodded at the words. "I hope you realize and know that they will all see it in my thoughts now. The whole pack will know." He said and she nodded slightly at the words.

"I know." Olivia murmured and he looked up at the sound of the howl. "Go. And be... Be careful." She said and he nodded quickly, before he left the test in the trash and he was taking off running. Olivia carefully picked his clothes up and his shoes, after leaving them on the porch for him and she sat at the kitchen table, resolving to wait.

Olivia didn't know how long it had been when Sam was gently shaking her awake at the table and she looked up at him with sleepy eyes. "Come on up, you are clearly exhausted." Sam murmured and then Olivia didn't bother to argue, as he scooped her up and she was leaning against him.

Sam put Olivia down and he climbed into bed next to her, as she rolled around to rest her head against his chest at once as he was smiling at her. "How did the others take it?" She mumbled and he laughed at the words a little bit.

"Carmen was happy for us, Jared was wisecracking about it, Paul was Paul and he was jealous, Opal said to say congratulations but don't expect any kids from her and Embry yet, while Embry just seemed to be more than a little embarrassed that he had found out through shared telepathy." Sam admitted and Olivia chuckled.

"Poor Embry, still really new to all of this stuff." She said and he nodded at the words as she sighed. "How am I going to be able to take care of a kid, Sam?" She asked and he looked at her with surprise in his eyes. "I'm not even 19 yet." She said and he moved his arms around her.

"We'll do it together, Livvy, like we always do." Sam murmured as she looked over and up at him, as he lay next to her. "This kid will grow up surrounded by a pack of literal werewolves, we will survive no matter what happens and so will this kid." Sam said and she had another silent question in her eyes, as he nodded. "I won't leave you, like he left me." He said as she curled up under his arm protectively, as, they were silently watching a shadow dance across the walls, while they waited for sleep to come.
