Olivia was definitely lying to whoever spoke to her, about just how exhausted she was.

It wasn't just the constant borrowing of Sam's clothes, it wasn't the fact that she had morning sickness although it was very irritating in and of itself.

No, it was only just because she couldn't fight anymore. Her main source of income had been taken away, because there was a baby growing in her and it drove her absolutely crazy.

Olivia was looking in the mirror in silence as she was looking over at her belly, which was getting bigger every time that she looked at it.

It had been four months, almost five since the test had come back as positive and now Olivia was almost waddling around as she walked. It was a lot more weight than she was used to, Olivia was normally thin and just muscle.

It was definitely, completely abnormal for her to have this amount of weight on her as she sighed and she was shaking her head at the words.

A loud and quick knock came at the door and Olivia was quickly yanking the hoodie over her upper body again.

Olivia opened the bathroom door and she saw that Opal was standing there, looking out of breath and Olivia's eyes flashed with worry at once. "What's wrong now?" Olivia asked at once, quickly seeing the look on her younger friend's face.

"Sam needs to see you right now! Like right now. Now!" Opal said in a panic and Olivia's eyes flashed quickly, very briefly at the words with confusion and worry. "He's outside!" Opal said and Olivia was quickly racing down the stairs, in fact, she'd almost tripped down the stairs.

"Sam?" Olivia asked in confusion as she walked outside.

"Happy birthday!" Jared called

"Happy birthday!" Paul shouted.

"Happy birthday!" Carmen called.

"Happy birthday!" Jacob said.

"Happy birthday." Embry's voice after the words was more of a quiet echo and Olivia's eyes flashed.

Olivia laughed at the sight of the birthday cake and the entire pack, as the entire group was gathered and she sighed. "Well played, Ope, well played." She admitted as Opal was walking out of the house behind her.

"Happy birthday, Liv." Opal replied and they hugged quickly, before Opal was going to cut the cake for them.

"Happy birthday." Olivia turned around to look at Sam who had silently come back and up behind her from the woods. "Opal got you good, huh?" He asked and she chuckled a little bit as he moved his arms around her.

"I almost didn't believe her. Then she mentioned you needing something and my common sense and suspicion, it all went out the window completely." Olivia murmured as he rested his head on top of hers and she was leaning against him.

After everyone had a piece of cake from each of the three layers on it, the lopsided cake that Carmen and Opal had managed to make after watching Olivia do it for so long.

The three-layer cake that had been devoured quickly in record time by the pack of six werewolves in front of them, as Olivia sighed at the sight. "I'm tired." Olivia murmured quietly to Sam, who nodded a little bit and then he was carefully picking her up onto his back.

Olivia brushed her teeth quickly and Sam was sitting on the edge of the bed, as Olivia sat next to him. "Sam, you all right?" Olivia asked as she reached out a hand as she was holding his hand.

"I'm 21 and you're 20. We are both now leading a pack of werewolves together. Who else could have done this?" Sam asked and she was shaking her head in confusion.

"I don't know Sam, I honestly don't have a clue." Olivia murmured and he looked over at her. "Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked and he was leaning down to rest his forehead against hers and Olivia shut her eyes.

The familiar heat from Sam that used to burn Olivia from contact with him, she felt like it was extremely familiar and now, it was almost comfortable to her. "Open your eyes for a minute, will you?" Olivia opened her eyes and she quietly gasped in surprise at the sight of Sam holding out, quite a few presents and Olivia sighed.

"Sam... What did I tell you about birthday gifts?" Olivia asked softly and he looked at her, before he was nodding a little.

"Okay, fine." Sam said easily with a smirk and Olivia grumbled from feeling like she had been guilt-tripped, until she yanked the three small boxes out of his hands and then as usual, Sam's laughter was clear. "Knew you would open them." He said and she was looking up at him with a small smile.

Olivia opened the first one and it was a necklace, a necklace that had a charm on it and it was the same symbol as the tattoo on the pack members arms. "Sam, where did you find this?" She asked as Sam looked at her, before he smiled a little.

"The elders have had this for years. It originally belonged to Levi Uley's daughter, originally." Sam said as she smiled a little bit and he chuckled. "Here, move your hair out of the way." He said and she tied up her hair quickly, before she was moving it to the side as he carefully clasped the necklace around her neck.

"So, this originally belonged to your great-grandfather, then your grandmother and it fell into the hands of the elders at some point... And now, now it's mine?" She asked and he nodded quickly at the words a bit. "But wait, shouldn't it be going straight to Carmen?" Olivia asked and Sam looked at the necklace, before she snapped her fingers in front of his eyes quickly.

"I asked Carmen before giving it to you as a present, we discussed it ahead of time. She's dead set on having nothing to do with our father, she is stubbornly insisting... On even changing her name if it comes down to it."

"Well, thank you." Olivia murmured and Sam looked down at the second box and she glanced at him suspiciously. "Okay, why the hell are you looking at that box now like it is about to explode?" She asked.

"Because it's just as much a gift for me as it is for you, if you like it." Sam murmured and Olivia opened the smaller box with a sharp letter opener as she was stunned at the sight of a pair of rings.

"We're not exactly traditional, are we?" She asked as he was now shaking his head at the words and she smiled. "The answer is yes, Sam." Olivia said as Sam sighed with relief and at the sound from him, Olivia couldn't help but laugh. "You were really worried about it, weren't you?" She asked as he was nodding.

"I'm a werewolf and the pack leader, Olivia and... this isn't going to be easy." Sam said as Olivia looked at him, before she looked at the rings.

Olivia picked up the pair of rings from the box in silence. One of them in her hands, it was a simple promise ring and the other was a wedding band. "You remembered my thing about simplicity." She said as Sam was nodding.

"On the plus side, at least you're not spending hundreds of dollars on maternity clothes. You're just using mine." Sam said as he recognized his hoodie and Olivia looked at him.

"You want it back or something?" Olivia challenged with a smirk and Sam shook his head as he looked at the rings in her hand as he carefully put them onto her finger, one after the other.

"My hoodies always did look better on you anyways." Sam remarked as he was looking at her, before she was going red with sheer embarrassment. "You know, you really are going to have to start accepting at least some of my compliments at some point." Sam said and Olivia was resting her head against him in silence as then, she was tracing the tattoo on his arm.

"Good point." Olivia murmured quietly and then he gently caught her hand in his as she looked back up at him. "I suppose that I will have to get used to them eventually." She echoed his words and he gently kissed her as she smiled at him.
