You woke up the next morning too tired for your liking. But it was okay, you were on vacation, and it was nothing a little coffee couldn't help with.
After brushing your teeth and washing your face in the bathroom, you made you way out toward the kitchen. Rory sat on top of the kitchen counter, right next to the sink. She nursed a mug in her hands and held it closely to her mouth as she blew into it, and you assumed it was coffee.
"Already made you a cup," Rory whispered, jutting her chin out to gesture to a mug of coffee sitting next to the kettle.
"Thank you." You flashed her a quick smile as you reached over to grab the mug, lifting it up to your nose to breathe in that familiar coffee smell. You hummed in satisfaction after your first sip.
That was how you and Rory spent the next 10 minutes. She was sitting on the counter as you simply leaned back against it, both sipping on your coffee. She kept herself busy on her phone as you stared out into space, letting your mind wander. It was something you greatly appreciated about Rory. She never forced you to have a conversation with her. She knew you loved the quiet.
Eventually Arin joined you guys, pouring herself some coffee and making a bowl of cereal.
You decided to save your stomach for when you guys meet up with Teddy.
Jackie didn't wake up until there was only enough time for her scramble out of bed and get ready before you had to leave.
You opted to dress comfortably and less formal since it was just lunch. Arin also told you that Teddy was really humble and honestly didn't wear anything other than hoodies unless he had to. You volunteered to drive the car you guys rented simply because you enjoyed driving. You also found that being the driver meant you didn't have to engage in the ongoing conversations as well as you'd have to if you weren't driving. You enjoyed just listening to what everyone had to say, mostly nodding and replying when you felt like it.
When you guys arrived at the lunch spot, Arin spotted Teddy pretty quickly, already sitting down at a large table by himself.
"Hi, Teddy!" Arin was the first to greet him and quickly gave him a hug. "We didn't keep you waiting, did we?"
"No, no, not at all," he assured with a large smile as he shook your hand, and then Jackie's, and eventually Rory's. "Sit, sit, it's nice to meet you all. How's Seoul been so far?"
You all ordered food and talked about anything and everything. The topic would switch from music and projects, to what to do in Seoul, and so much more.
"So, Y/N," Teddy addressed you directly from across the table. Currently, Arin and Jackie were bickering yet again as Rory laughed and played mediator. That left you and Teddy.
You took your eyes away from your plate to look up at him with an easy smile. You had a feeling he called you out directly because you were pretty quiet throughout the meal. There was nothing wrong, far from it, you were just naturally more of a reserved type of person. You felt you were more outgoing than the 'speak when spoken to' type, but maybe you just weren't as talkative in the mornings.
"So, Arin told me you're signed with Columbia?"
You nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, for the past two years now. It's been great. And you're with YG?"
Teddy only nodded at your question. "I've listened to a lot of your work before. I have to say, I think you're very talented."
You felt the blush creep up on your face. "Oh," you gulped. "Thank you. That means a lot."
He laughed heartily at your reaction. "Are you currently working on anything right now?"
"No, actually I'm not," you said as you took a sip of water. You didn't really want to talk about your writer's block. "I've been writing and producing for a pretty long time and I just decided to go on a vacation and give myself a break. But what about you? You're working with Blackpink right?"
