"A little longer," you instructed, gesturing by making a gap between your thumb and index finger.

Jennie pulled one of the ears of her headphones off from where she stood inside the booth. "Longer?" She covered the mic with her hand.

"Yeah," you confirmed with a nod. "Just draw it out a little more. Ready?"

She gave you a nod, and so you sat back down, pressing the play button so the track would continue.

Being in the studio since lunchtime had taken its toll on you. The other girls were long gone, having left over an hour ago. You were tired and hungry, and you were sure your appearance didn't hide that. But Jennie was a perfectionist and insisted on staying until she got everything right, and by employing a small pout and her puppy eyes, you were inclined to stay for as long as she wanted. She was simply too hard to resist, but you had to admit that you admired her dedication.

"Good," you bellowed, slowly nodding as the music faded out. "That was good, Jen."

"Could we try it one more time?"

You resisted the urge to sigh. Crossing your arms across your chest, you asked, "What for?"

Jennie pouted again. You tried not to let it affect you. "I didn't like the way I hit one of the notes."

"Jen, we're going to be here all day. The last one was good. We're done."

"Just one more?"

"Jennie."

"Babe..."

"Don't," you warned testily, your face turning cold. "I'm not babe in here." You had to set boundaries. What you two did outside of the studio was perfectly fine as long as it didn't affect your work. "Stop it," you ordered and tried to hold back your laugh as she increasingly pouted her lips. "It's not working." It was sort of working.

"Y/n/n..." Jennie whined.

"Oh my god," you muttered, rewinding the track. "Fine. One more. And then we're out of here."

She immediately cheered, clapping in delight and bouncing on her feet as she slid her headphones back on. The girls had warned you that Jennie was stubborn, especially in the studio. You didn't take them very seriously but now you were realizing that you should have.

Luckily, she was satisfied with the next take and you heaved a breath of relief. "Can we go now?" You asked tiredly. "Let's go get dinner."

Jennie quirked a brow. "But we didn't even work on my other verse."

You let out a humorless chuckle. "We could have if you didn't spend all our time on your opening..."

"Oh..."

You smiled, grabbing her hand and tugging her to you after she exited the booth. "Let's go, okay? I'm starving." You wrapped your arms around her waist, resting your hands at the small of her back.

She kissed you softly and your fingers squeezed her in response. "I'm sorry," she whispered sheepishly.

You breathed out a laugh. "It's okay Jen, but next time we're leaving when I say we're leaving."

Picking up groceries and bringing it back to her house was always a struggle because both of you were indecisive and could never figure out what you wanted to eat. But it was routine at this point. Every day, regardless of if you spent the day together or not, you guys would have dinner together. Sometimes you'd cook, occasionally you'd try out a restaurant. But most of the time, because of your busy schedules, takeout was the easiest option.

Tonight you insisted on cooking for her because you hadn't done it in a while and you felt like spoiling her.

"How did you learn how to cook?" Jennie randomly asked from where she sat, her chin resting in her palm.
