You have two full days left with Jennie before she's gone again, and you have every intention to make the most out of them.

When you call her the next morning, it's right before the time you'd usually go for your morning run. You figured you could skip out on it for one day.

"Hello?" Her voice is groggy and raspy.

"Did you just wake up?" you laugh.

"What do you want?" she groans, and you can picture her curling up some more in her bed, burying herself further into her blankets.

"Was wondering if you decided what you want to do today."

She groans again and you hear some shuffling, so that must mean she's given up on falling back asleep. "No, I haven't because I've been sleeping, Y/n. Like normal people do."

"You are anything but normal," you chuckle out fondly, and it's casual but you mean it as anything but. "And it's really not that early..."

Jennie huffs.

"Shall I just call back later then?"

"No," she sighs, and you hear her footsteps padding.

"Okay," you chirp. "Do you want to get breakfast?"

"I think I'm still full from last night, honestly."

She's brushing her teeth now, you can tell by how she mumbles out her words. Incoherent to most, but you've learned to understand what she says.

"Coffee then?" you propose.

"Sure," she agrees. "Meet you there?"

"I'll pick you up," you say instead. "That okay?"

"Mhm."

The water is splashing, and in your mind she is washing her face. The water has a rhythm, which you know by heart, so you know when she's cupping her hands to collect the water and when she's rinsing her face.

The thing you don't count on is the sound of the shower turning on. You blink, surprised. Maybe bewildered.

"Give me like half an hour?"

You blink some more. You know her clothes are dropping when you hear the soft thud, and then the shower curtain is snapping aside and your breath catches.

"Y/n?"

"Yeah,"  you clear your throat. "Be there in thirty."

-

"Sorry," Jennie first says when she opens the door for you, still in her pajamas. "I'm slow this morning, can you wait for me?"

The pajamas, by the way, are the sinfully short shorts she always sleeps in and a dangerously thin tank top. You try not to linger, you really do, but you're doomed.

"Yeah," you automatically say, following her when she just leaves the door open and rushes back inside.

Jennie says something about just needing to get dressed and maybe blow dry her hair, but then adds on that she'll just put it up instead.

You certainly don't follow her into the room, just wait by the front door patiently, somewhat awkwardly.

When she comes back, she's fully dressed - thank god - looking soul crushingly beautiful in her simple long skirt and short tee.

It's incredibly unfair, really, how amazing she can look in something so ordinary.

She laughs a little when she sees you, "you could have sat down, you know."
