Playing around wasn't on the list anymore.
Finishing college was the end of an era for me.
The day started off with chaos. Bug couldn't have made it in time even if he tried because my father and his girlfriend haven't even woken up and Bug knows how frightening our father is when he is tired, so I had to tell Bug the exact road to take so he could make it to my highschool.
He got there in fifteen minutes, and brought along some a bouquet of sunflowers for me since he knew those were may favorite type of flowers.
Belial got me a necklace with 'Aer-yeah 51', a lego set with cats that I didn't know how to build but he said that 'we could do it together' because he bought it for the both of us to spend more time together, and a kiss on the cheek. I knew he was determined to show the world that I'm his because he was wearing nude lipstick that had the exact shade of his lips which left a mark on my cheek.
Everything was perfect, except for two things.
Emmerson being on the stage with me and my deadname. I did not want Belial to know what my deadname is, but that was not up to me.
When I got to the stage all I could see was Belial looking into my soul with the proudest glance. I wanted to cry out of happiness, but I saved the tears for my speech.
Emmerson was right before me. His speech didn't make sense to me. He was only talking about himself and how he 'built a future' for himself, but even his parents know that he had a lot of tutors because he was failing school.
When it was my turn, I couldn't even open my mouth without struggling not to cry.
I looked down on my paper as one tear was dripping from my face to it. I started stuttering my first words, but after the end of the first sentence I could finally talk.
'Dear public, dear friends, dear family.
Thank you for being here when I needed you. I couldn't be more greatful to have you in my life. You have helped me understand who I am, and you have helped me become a better person. I also want to thank a person that is not in my life for helping me realize who I am. But I especially want to thank the person that newly came into my life and showed me what real love means.
I have always been an A+ student, but that takes work and time. It is not easy, but it is perfect. And how do you know when you made it? You're mad when you get a B. And even if you get an A, you wish there was a higher grade for students that work hard and are devoted to learning.
To my bullies, I want to say I love you. I'm telling you this because probably no one told you that. I hope you grow as a person and realize that what you did was wrong. You are going to regret this, I promise you.
While I'm going to the best University in the country, you are going to work at a fast food restaurant to pay for your college.
Am I the only one that has noticed that bullies get bad grades?
They always have something to say, but their grades speak for themselves. At least have decent grades before you comment on my body.
Lastly, I want to say I love you to myself. Without myself I wouldn't have gotten here.
I ACTUALLY built a future for myself, unlike someone.
Thank you.'
After the graduation me and Belial went to my house because we wanted to celebrate.
Seth and Alexander went to celebrate on their own, as Monroe and Bug did.
I couldn't have asked for more.
It was just me and Belial holding hands while walking back to my house.
But there was someone on the other side of the road spying on me and Bell...
Emmerson.
'Was that last part about me?', he said while crossing the road to speak to me face to face.
'You said it not me!', I exclaimed confidently.
Emmerson tries to slap me, but he couldn't even get his palm to my face because Belial kicked him down to the ground and started punching him four times in a row.
'Apologize, you fucking bastard! Do you know how much Zephyr cried over you? I can't fucking believe someone who looks like that were to hurt poor Zephyr. Do you not feel ashamed?', expressed Belial.
He gets off of Emmerson. When Em tries to get up, Belial pretends to give him a hand but pushes him to the ground again.
Belial gave me a hug while Emmerson got the strength to get up and run.
He got beat up by the guitarist of his favorite band. What a loser.
When we arrived at my house, me and Belial changed into our pyjamas, but he didn't have any with him so I gave him a pair of pyjamas with cats on it.
He loved it and said it looked like the cats in the lego set.
The both of us cuddled up in the middle of my bed and fell asleep.
It was a great day.

Author's note:
Graduation is so much more that the end of highschool. It can be:
The end of friendships that make room for other to bloom. The end of relationships that make a person grow and become their best self. Or the end of someone's suffering.
