If you haven't guessed already, Belial is the guy me and my group met while we were in Vama Veche.
He was originally from Bucharest, but moved to Constanța County after he turned sixteen, because of his parents' divorce.
He had a rough childhood, meaning his own parents were abusing Belial mentally and physically, because in Romania that was seen as discipline.
Not only that, but Belial was bullied in school for being poor, and for having bruises on his body from the abuse, which led him to turn to smoking as a coping mechanism, a thing most teenagers do.
When I first saw him, I was taken away by his angelic look, this guy looked like a Greek God. He had glassy heterochromia eyes, one was green and one was blue, dewy vitiligo skin, swarthy long hair, a nose bump, and a youthful face structure.
Belial wasn't comfortable with me and my group at first, so my mission was to make him to warm up to me. I could tell Emmerson was jealous, but I couldn't care less.
Why would Em be jealous when I'm just trying to make a person feel comfortable around new people? It wasn't like he couldn't chat with Belial's best friend, Oliver, the most outgoing person I've ever seen. I have to be honest, at that particular moment I was thinking about leaving Emmerson, I knew he was cheated on, but if I talk with a singular person besides him, he'll get jealous.
Jealousy is wanting something you can't have, so I think Emmerson subconsciously realized that I wanted to leave him..
Because he started ignoring me while I wasn't talking to him and only gave me affection when we were alone.
I was 'playing his game', so I ignored him too and paid more attention to Belial.
I could see the love Belial can offer me in his glossy eyes, and I could sense that he understood the situation I was in with Emmerson. Him and I even talked about my problem with Emmerson, and he helped me understand that Emmerson was just scared he would lose me. We talked about our whole lives with such ease, it was like drinking a cold glass of water after you wake up because of thirst.
Belial gave me the thing I most wanted. Communication.
Something Emmerson was never able to give me, no matter how hard I tried.
I have been best friends with Emmerson for a lot of time at that point, so I couldn't understand why he couldn't open up to me when I told him all of my secrets.

Author's note:
Belial is a reflection of my future, and Emmerson is a reflection of my past.
Everyone prefers the future, but many get stuck in the past.
