CHAPTER FOURTEEN: THE COMPETITION AND THE RUNWAY SHOWDOWN

as the competition goes on, the pressure to the model aspirants got higher and more taxing. at sa kahit anong kompetisyon, hindi talaga maiiwasan ang siraan, dayaan, palamangan at bullying. at ang pinaka-matindi na marahil ay ang salpukan nilang dalawa ni Celine. hindi lingid sa kanya ang tila enjoyment ng bruha sa tuwing napagsasalitaan sya ng dalawang matandang warka sa panel of judges---sina Pablo Valencia at Rory Marqueza.

her blood boils to a nearly critical level everytime those two old birds would threw shady remarks at her performance. at hindi sya mangmang para hindi mahalatang nagpa-power tripping ang dalawa sa kanya---dahil sya lage ang top contender sa naturang reality show. kahit nga ang viewers, sya ang paborito. kung hindi nya lang inaasam na manalo, matagal na nyang sinagot ang mga gurang na yun.

"unique---dahil ang wardrobe theme ninyo is 'sexily classic'. you will be wearing a two piece bikini and long gowns from, of course, Pablo Valencia. so get yourself prepared."

mataman lang syang nakikinig. she has been through a lot for this competition already. at wala syang balak magpatalo.

Dulcinea introduced a man who has the nastiest drawl she saw in a person. hindi nakaligtas sa matalim na paningin ni Nika ang pagdila ng photographer diumano sa ibabang labi nito habang nakatunghay sa bandang dibdib nya. and that lewd act really pissed her off. sa hilatsa pa lang ng mukha ng lalaking ito, halatang manyak. and so far, her instincts never fail her. she could feel that this dude is up to no good.

the idiot had the audacity to give her a lopselided smile. she find it disgusting and rolled her eyes at him. as if naman kikiligin sya sa ganun, utot nya. ang kapal ng mukha.

"that guy is a pervert." napalingon sya sa nagsasalita. it's Anniere, one of the aspirants. the girl isn't her friend, not an enemy either. they're neutral to each other, to be exact. but what she just said got Nika's attention---lalo pa't ang sama ng tingin nito sa lalaki.
"kanina ko pa napapansin ang lagkit ng tingin nya sa atin, specially towards you. I followed his line of sight and he keeps staring at your cleavage, Nika."

the other aspirants who heard Anniere's words agreed. they also felt uncomfortable.

nginit hindi lahat pareho nila ng pananaw---lalo na ang mahaderang bruha na si Celine at mga amigas nito sa competition.

Nika can't believe what she just heard. the nerve of this slut to say such stupid things!

"well, for the likes of you na sanay nang nababastos dahil ka bastos-bastos ka rin naman talaga---natural na sanay ka. gawain mo, eh." she said acidly, making the slut look at her, petrified. Nika smirked seeing Celine's face."but for us who grew up in a decent, powerfully rich families---nakakadiri ang ganyan, halatang manyak lang. keep that opinion to yourself, you slut. wag mo kaming itulad sa 'yo."
