14: Baem

Taehyung's POV

"There's no progress," Y/n said, slouching back and I peered at her above my book. 

I shook my head and beckoned with my fingers, using magic to flip the pages of my book. Reading it.

"Maximus Primer. Over too. Yet nothing was found. I give up. I'll just stay here in the life of luxuries until Y/n decides to use her power." Jin said, closing the book and keeping it on the table.

"Where did you get that outfit from?" I asked him annoyed by the blue dress and the extremely bright white trousers. I also had the same dress but I hated white so I just went for an off-white option and my magical black robe. Jin stood up and showed me his outfit. "You're telling me I don't look good in this?"

"You look good," Y/n said and I rolled my eyes, getting back to reading my book while they had a conversation. "I know, right? You're a good friend. This guy needs to improve." I know whom he was pointing his finger at but I was clearly not bothered by it.

"Where did you get this from?" She asked. "Well, I saw one of the maids taking this dress to the king's chamber but when their eyes landed upon me, they just handed it to me."

"Why?"

"Maybe I look better in it than their King. Haha," I heard Jin laughing and Y/n was laughing with him. I sighed. No way we are going to know how to use Y/n's power this way.

Also, I wonder what those two Devils are doing on the planet. They have a Darkhold. But they don't know how to use it. That buys us some time.

I smiled and beckoned my finger toward my bookshelf. The useless Book of Vishanti floated toward Jin and hit him in the head, then it landed on his hand. "Ouch!" Jin groaned and I turned to look at him.

"Sorry," I mumbled and turned back to my book. "You did that purposefully, right?" He asked and I heard Y/n giggling. I looked at her and she smirked at me.

I smirked back at her and brought my eyes back to my pages. "I don't think that I'll hurt my brother like that," I told Jin with a shrug of my shoulder. He hissed through his teeth.

"No, you did that purposefully," he argued and I closed my book, standing up from my chair and going to the shelves, ignoring his words. "Princess, do you want to read something?" I asked while putting the book back.

No reply.

"Princess?" I called out again but no response. I walked back to the reading table and saw Y/n and Jin's eyes widening in shock. Baem was growing bigger and bigger.

"Baem?" I called out and he hissed turning his head, staring at me. I gasped. "It's eyes," Jin said in horror.

"Are glowing yellow," I added and he turned back to leer at Y/n. She shifted back uncomfortably and arched her head upwards staring at the snake.
