27: Back to You

Y/n's POV

I walked out of the room that was assigned to me in Kamar Taj and I walked over to the grand hall. My eyes fell on the various students and masters walking around. They looked at me because I was standing out for my hair. 

I slowly walked towards the rooms and spotted Yoongi walking. I jogged up to him. "Yoongi!" I called out and he looked at me. "I'm hungry."

"What do you want me to do? Farming?" He asked but I scoffed, moving away from him and he smirked slightly and walked forward. So I followed him.

"Where are we going?" I asked and he looked at me while walking. "Catching up with old friends and figuring out the whole multiverse crisis." He said without looking at me.

"Can I come with you?" I asked but he kept walking. "No!" 

"Thank you!" I said with a smile, following him. As if I will listen to him. I could notice a faint smile on his lips. We walked over to a big door and entered it.

My eyes fell upon Jungkook and Hoseok facing me while talking to a buffed blonde man. But my heart dropped when the pair of chocolate brown eyes turned to me. 

His eyes widened and a smile was instantly formed on his face, expression turning soft and eyes glimmering as if he would cry any moment now. "Princess?"

"Taehyung!"

I ran to him, pushing away everyone, well, Yoongi to be more precise, and just running to him. I couldn't help. My face crumpled. 

Taehyung took a tentative step toward me as he looked into my blurry eyes. He took me in his arms and pressed me to him. I brought my arms up around him and buried my face in his neck, breathing in his clean scent. I cried silently in his arms for several minutes as he held me, rubbing circles on my back, his warm breath on my ear.

"I thought-" I choked, shaking my head and continued, "I thought I lost you forever and you will fall in love with that Sora." I closed my eyes, and fresh tears rolled down my cheeks. I opened them and we both stood there silently, our breath dissipating as it rose into the sky.

Taehyung took my chin in his fingers and tilted my face back up to him. Once I was looking into his eyes, he brought his hand down and said, "There has only ever been you. There will only ever be you, princess."

"But-"

"There's nothing to argue about. What I know is that you fell into my universe that day. You lost your world but I lost my heart. But not because it could have been any girl. Because it was you. I lost my heart to you. And, in case you are wondering, Y/n. I don't ever want it back." He said, eyes soft and genuine.

Taehyung's POV

Y/n closed her eyes again momentarily and saw her body relax. It has been three weeks, five days, and a couple of hours since the first moment I set my eyes on her.

And she is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

The absolute bane of my existence.

"It was only a couple of days we were together and we are so attached to each other," she said and I chuckled at her words. "Does time even matter? You care about me. I care about you." I told her, putting it all on the line. Something I don't normally do.

More like I never do.

"Do we really though? We barely know each other. It's only been a handful of days," she pointed out. 

"When we're lucky enough to find someone that makes our world brighter, shouldn't we grab hold of that person and never let them go?"

She stared up at me, confusion in her gaze. "What do you mean?"

"I am talking about you. And me." I said and kissed her, and naturally, she responded. I held her close, my hand rising up against her head as I devoted her mouth, my tongue sliding into it. And she moaned into my mouth. I broke the kiss to whisper against her lips as I believed what I would say to Y/n when I find her again.

"I love you."

Her shiny eyes met mine. "I love you too." 

"I thought of you every day," I said, my heart drumming in my chest as I said whatever I was keeping in for these past weeks without her. "You were always in my heart, princess. I meant what I said, Y/n. You are mine and you are the only one I want to kiss. The only one I would cross universes for."

Her smile is huge. Heart warming.

She hugged me again and turned her head to look out of the huge window, showing the snow-covered peaks of the mountain far away.

The others left the room as soon as Y/n ran towards me, giving us privacy but I couldn't ignore the way that guy namely Jungkook was shooting daggers while walking out. I don't even know him.

But for now, I focus on us. I've never had someone surround me so comfortingly. Normally, I would feel trapped. Pressing my lips together, closing my eyes for a beat, taking a deep breath, and focusing on our quick heartbeats, I feel the way Y/n stands in my embrace.

When I open my eyes, a sense of calm comes over when I see her face, admiring the view outside. Then she looked at me, "What are you doing?" she asked quietly. 

"Enjoying the view," I replied softly. "The palace is prettier than all of this," she pointed out, looking at the mountains far away. 

"I wasn't talking about the mountain view," I shifted and turned her back so that the firm wall of my chest was pressing against her back, my lips moving lower and close to her ear now. So close, I swear she can feel my lips move against her ears. "I'm talking about you."

She giggled and both of us stared at the view in front of us now. With her close to me, everything inside me loosens, with the exception of my heart because I swear it's going to pound directly out of my chest and fall out of the balcony of this second-floor temple, running away from me before I could catch it.

"Where are the others?" She asked. "They went when you ran towards me," I said and she sighed. "We need their help as well. Kibum and Kiran are still out there searching for me." I nodded, tightening my hold on her.

"I heard how they sent those monsters behind you. I am sorry for not being able to protect you." I apologized. My heart clenched at the thought of something wrong happening with her. My robe automatically wrapped her in it. And she chuckled stroking it over her arms. "It's alright, Taehyung. Where is Jin?"

"He is out there showing off his face to the students here, the moment he entered Kamar Taj."
