36: Dawn of Faith

Y/n's POV

I passed through the hoop and saw everyone's eyes widen. I looked around at the place and then turned back to see Jimin smiling at me bitterly.

"This is Namjoon's place at Sarkaar." He whispered and I smiled before turning back but someone pulled me away from Jimin.

Jungkook.

He glared at Jimin. "You! Fucker! How dare you—" I pulled him back. "Jungkook, it's fine. I'm fine. He's sorry. And what about all of you? Oh my God. Let me heal you all." I said, eyeing all the bandages wrapped around their hands.

"Please! I hate to see scars on my face! Do that, Y/n!" Jin said, running to me and hugging me with his bandaged hands. I giggled but still had Jungkook's wrist in my grip as he was still glaring at Jimin.

Jimin just looked at him blankly. "Are you alright?" Hoseok asked, with Yoongi and Namjoon following him. I gave them a genuine smile. "I am. He was just lonely. He wants to say something to you—"

Jimin was thrown across the room, on the glass table. He grunted in pain as the glass table shattered and I looked at Taehyung glaring at Jimin with his dark green eyes. "Now one thing I would praise you for in my life," Jungkook said, eyeing Taehyung in approval and then glaring at Jimin too. 

Taehyung walked over to Jimin but I rushed to him. "Taehyung, stop!" I said, pulling his arm but he yanked my grip and moved forward. "You controlled her mind too?" Taehyung asked, bending down to look at Jimin who looked at him, scrunching his face in confusion.

"No, I didn't," Jimin said, looking at me and shaking his head. Taehyung raised both of his flaming hands and Jimin was lifted up from the ground, screaming in agony as the green flames bound him like tight chains, squeezing his body. "You hurt her. You made me hurt her!" Taehyung said, glaring at Jimin up and tilting his hands, causing Jimin to turn upside down.

"You die," he whispered but I gasped and ran to him, gripping his arm. "Taehyung, let him go!" I screamed and he turned to look at me with a frown. His eyes were a dark shade of green as he was looking at me dangerously.

"He was lonely and lost," I said, a drop of tears flowing down my face. "Like you." I saw his features soften and his eyes turn brown again as he pulled his hands back and turned around, causing Jimin to fall. 

I gasped and turned around to see Yoongi already using his power to make him land on a platform made with red flames instead of the spikes of glasses below them. I sighed and looked back at Taehyung who walked up the stairs, silently without looking back.

I bit my lips and took a deep breath before turning back to the others who were settling Jimin down. "Let's heal you all up first. Then I'll go and talk to him."

Taehyung's POV

I was biting my nails, curled up on the bed, knees close to my chest, arms wrapped around my folded legs as I stared at the door in front of my eyes.

Who am I waiting for?

She won't come back to me.

Like the others.

Like my parents.

Like my friends.

Like my brother. 

They are scared of me. My powers.

I was scared of showing this side of me to others. Jin will hate me. Y/n will hate me too. I stared at the door with burning eyes, holding in my tears. "Nobody will come for me," I mumbled and peeled a thin stripe of skin next to my nail, causing it to bleed but it didn't ache me anymore.

I was numb to feelings of pain.

Until Y/n appeared in my life, turning me into the softest man ever as well as the most dangerous man ever. She won't come back to me. The door slowly creaked open and I instantly shot my head up. Unknown to me, a single drop of tear rolled down my cheekbone.

Silver hair flared inside the room, a small head poking through the door. The deep brown orbs stared at me innocently. I shivered, puckering my lips to control my sobs. I hung my head low, unable to meet her eyes.

I felt her approaching me. Her familiar scent reached my nostrils as she sat beside my curled-up figure on the bed. She slowly wrapped her arms around me. 

Silence.

Neither did she speak nor did I. 

I didn't respond because I was wrapped up in how wonderful it felt to be me. Just how nice it felt to be loved the way she loved me. But did she? After all the chaos and magic that I caused?

"Why did you come back to me?" I asked. She pulled her arms back and then mine, freeing my legs and turning me to her. She smiled at me, slowly moving forward to connect our lips in a quick gentle kiss. But before she pulled back, she mumbled against my lips, "Because I love you. I will always come back to you."

"But I hurt you," I whispered and she smiled again, moving her fingers against my cheeks to wipe the tear stains from my face. "You know Taehyung, love is you don't want them to die. You want to stay with them. You'll be worried if you don't see them. You'll be happy if you do." She said and stared into my eyes like how I returned her stare.

"I look at you and I just love you, Y/n. And it terrifies me. It terrifies me what I would do for you. I was like a blind man living in the dark. But I didn't know what true brightness was until I met you," I confessed and she smiled before moving forward, wrapping her arms around me.

"I love you too, mortal," she said and I chuckled before pulling her onto my lap. The side of her bodyremained tucked against my chest, giving her space to leave if shewants. "I missed your touches, Tae," she said and I looked at her. I tucked her hair behind her ear before leaning in towhisper, "Do you want me to touch you, princess?" 

My tongue darted out, tasting her skin before pulling back. She sucked in a breath and leaned into me before whispering dangerously low,

"Please. Touch me, Tae."
