Todoroki's POV

"You didn't have to help," Deku says. A faint smile playing at his lips. I just shrug as I load the scrubbed dishes into the dishwasher. He hums while we clean. Then we go up to the bathroom to get ready for bed. I go to walk to him room when we're done, but he grabs my wrists to stop me.

"Denki made sure you got your room now if you want it," He says with a smile. I'm stunned silent. Just three weeks ago I needed to be watched, but now I was trusted enough with my own room. A small chuckle escapes me.

"What?" He asks, head tilted like I've grown accustomed to.

"It's just that this whole situation is so unbelievable. I can't decide if I have the worst luck imaginable or the best,"

He looks stunned. The first time I've seen him dumbstruck. Only for him to give me a sweet smile. My heart races and I feel my cheeks heat up. Looking at him now, you wouldn't even guess that he's killed people. Without a word he pulls me down the hall. It doesn't take long to make it to a room just two doors down from Deku's. Opening it I find a bland room. Dark wood furniture against the pale wood walls. The most noticeable thing is the sweets on the full sized bed. It's white with pearl snowflakes sown in. It's a gorgeous blanket with matching pillows.

"I picked out the bed spread. After you told me your favorite color was white I found it online and had it delivered to my fake address," he smiles widely.

"Thank you," I smile back, surprising him again. An awkward silence envelops us. Then, nervously, he grabs my hand and kisses my knuckles.

"Good night Todoroki. Sleep well," he says walking off back to his room. With flaming cheeks I retreat into my room. Closing the door, I strip of any unnecessary clothing and climb into bed. The sheets are silky and cool while the blanket is heavy and fabric is smooth. I find myself sinking into the cloud like bed, the image of Deku's smile playing in my mind as sleep takes over.

~⏳•⌛️~

Soft sobs and cries of my name pull me from my slumber. I sit up and rub the sleep from eyes.

"T-todor-roki... D-Deku's g-gon-ne... a-and I.. I c-can't f-f-find.." Eri tries to speak but it's all broken up by hiccups and sobs.

"It's okay Eri, just breathe. You gotta calm down so I can understand you okay," I try to soothe her. She climbs up into the bed and I pull her into a hug. Eri cries for a few before she's able to calm down.

"What happened?" I ask as gently.

"Deku's not in his bed and all his wolves are gone. He's not here and I don't know where he went," she whispers, tears brimming her eyes again. My heart sinks. Without conscious thought I get up and move to the door, Eri following me. I make my way to his room down the cold hallway. Is he really not here? As I open the door, I feel my heart sink even further down. His bed is indeed empty, and the wolves that potrol the asylum are no where to be seen.

"What are two doing up so early?" Denki yawns.

"Kaminari!! Deku's missing!" Eri cries running over to him. He crouches down and takes her into his arms.

"He's not missing. Izuku just went out to do whatever villainess thing he does. He'll be home in a few days," he reassures Eri. Somehow though, I'm more worried knowing where he's at.

Deku's POV

Staring out at Hosu City, I'm reminded of the news report I saw a few days ago. Stain's in town. How lovely is that. Hopefully I'll get to see him. It's been such a long time since I've seen him. Though there's no chance of that during the day. Whistling as I walk, I make my way through the crowded streets. A faintly familiar scent reaches my nose and I scan the crowd. It doesn't take long to notice a boy with dark blue hair and glasses. His hero costume reminds me of an armored astronaut. But the look on his face. Twisted and stained with anger. It ruins his overall handsome face.
