Deku's POV

The stars shine down on the students as they perform their little test of courage. Class 1B is doing an excellent job of scaring class 1A. It's rather impressive how well suited most of their quirks are for this kind of exercise. They had even managed to scare Kacchan, which isn't an easy thing to do. I smell the smoke before I see it. Dabi made the first move, prompting Mustard to start releasing his gas. Should probably go somewhere, don't want to get caught up in his mess. I make my way to the starting line to find lizard face and big lips distracting the pros.

"Where's Kota?!" Mandalay asks frantically. My heart beats in my ears. The kid? I thought he came back to camp. I run up to her. Slipping past the other Wild Pussycats.

"You don't know where the kid is?" I question. Her eyes are wide with shock. Everyone is left stunned. Waiting for something to happen.

"I haven't seen him since dinner," she admits shamefully. Anger bubbles in my chest.

"What were you thinking bringing him here in the first place? You're a PRO for fucks sake and yet you didn't think there was any chance that villains might attack?!" I scold. Guilt wells in her eyes.

"Who gives you the right to lecture someone about their family?" Tiger shouts. He tries to punch me, but I dodge. Only barely though. I move back to stand with Spinner and Magnus.

"Where's Muscular?" I ask. He's the only one who's got a reputation for hurting kids.

"He went into the forest, not sure where though. Why does it matter anyways?" Magnus responds.

"Because if he finds the kid before I do then I'll kill him," anger laces my voice.

"How old is the kid?" Spinner interjects. I turn my attention back to the heroes.

"He didn't say. Care to enlighten us?" I ask. Mandalay looks deeply shaken. Her skin is a sickly shade of green.

"H-he's six," she mutters. My blood begins to boil. Spinner gets a look of disgust that reminds me too much of Stain.

"You really thought that this was a place for a six year old boy?" I glare down my nose.

"How can a teenager possibly understand how difficult parenthood is?!" Tiger fires back. Mandalay chokes on her words. Unable to really process a response. I roll my eyes at his ignorance. I can't waste anymore time here.

"I'm going after Kota and I'm taking him home. I assure you he'll be in much more capable hands," I spit before dashing off.

Narrator POV

Muscular stalks through the forest wearing his ski mask and cloak. He wasn't sure if he was going towards the camp or not, so he headed for the only vantage spot he could find.

Kota is still sitting on the edge of the small cliff, admiring the way the stars reflect on the water. He notices the dark smoke and bright blue flames in the distance. Something clicks as he remembers his encounter with Deku.

"Of course he was lying you idiot" he curses himself. Kota stands and is about to leave when he hears heavy footsteps approaching.

"Oh? I didn't expect to run into a kid out here," Muscular states. Fear takes root in Kota's stomach, suddenly wishing that he had listened to Deku. Muscular reaches into his pocket to pull out a photo.

"You wouldn't happen to know where he is would you?" He questions. Kota shakes his head nervously. Muscular returns the picture to his pocket. He reaches up to remove the mask, revealing a menacing grin that triggers Kota's fight or flight reflexes. Water drips from Kota's shaking hands. Along with the face of a very tall, muscular man.
