Caught You~ Villain Deku x Todoroki

Chapter 24

Narrator POV

"Well as I stated on the phone, the Nomu are a fairly new science experiment of ours. It's not perfected by any means so sometimes things are faulty," Shigaraki explains

"So then are you creating these from people?"

"Correct. We kidnap people who are overlooked, thrown out. People who wouldn't be missed. The mutation process is extremely painful and more often than not it leaves the victim mindless. Although over time some memories can resurface causing a malfunction. The Nomu who attacked you was probably part of your past," Shigaraki explains. Deku nods along falling into deep thought. An image of the winged boy that aided Kacchan in his torment flashes through his mind.

'If I remember right he went missing a year after I left,' he thought to himself. Deku tries to surpress his giggles but isn't very successful.

"What's so funny?" Toga asks.

"Just how karma works is all. You spend years inflicting mind numbing pain onto another person just to later become the victim of a cruel science experiment for All for One," he answers through giggles, not caring that he just showed his hand.

"What did you say?" Shigaraki says in shock.

"Informants are expensive but it's better than walking into something blind. Did you do any research on the type of person I am before requesting to work with me?" The way his body tenses up makes Deku laugh harder.

"You didn't! That's hilarious!!" Deku doubles over. His laughter never ceasing as he feels the cold metal of a blade on the back of his neck.

"You better stop laughing at the boss," but this only fuels his laughter. The deranged sound of his laughter sending an unseen chill down Todoroki's spine.

"Why don't you make sure you're actually in a position to behead me before making such threats," Deku points to the snarling wolf behind the lizard man.

"Enough. We all know Deku is a little unhinged so don't go taking offense to his actions," the misty guy behind the bar calls out. Lizard boy puts away his blade and Deku's wolf dissipates. When he sits back up he notices that Todoroki is more then ready to fight.

'Oooohhhh how scary he looks with a scowl.' Deku smirks.

"Clearly we didn't have you completely figured out, but that doesn't change anything. I would like to invite you to the UA summer training camp with us. We plan to make a real mess of things and want you there," Shigaraki recovers.

"As much as I like destruction for destructions sake, is there a goal you have in mind?" Deku questions.

"We want you kidnap your childhood friend and try to convince him to join our side," he answers.

"I can tell you right now that it won't work. You're welcome to try but he's been aiming for 'number one hero' since he got his quirk," Deku deadpans.

"Does that mean you're not interested?"

"Oh no I'm in, it's always fun getting involved with that school," he smiles.

"It's settled then. It'll be two weeks from now. We're not attacking until after night fall so try to be here about sundown," Shigaraki says, standing up he makes his way back towards the hallway. "See you then Deku," he waves behind him.

"Bye bye Handy, see you in two weeks," Deku calls after him. "Well that would be our cue to leave," he says standing up. Todoroki following suit.

"You really did train him like a dog huh? He hasn't said anything this whole time. Just following your lead, even preparing to protect you when he thought you were in danger," Dabi says through gritted teeth. Putting himself between Deku and the door.
