Caught You~ Villain Deku x Todoroki

Chapter 20

Narrator POV

Eri sits up in bed rubbing her eyes. The blanket slips off her shoulder and she looks around the room in a tired daze.

"I wonder if Deku is home," she whispers to herself. Getting up out of bed, she drags her feet to the door and opens it. A trial of tiny blood drops go unnoticed as she makes her way to down the stairs and to the kitchen.

"Good morning sleepy head. How was your nap?" Kaminari asks. His arm elbow deep in the mix he's using to make meatballs.

"Short," she answers. Trying to rub the sleepiness out of her eyes.

"Is Deku home yet?"

"Yes. He's visiting Todoroki right now but I'm sure he'll be making his way down here soon,"

"Why didn't he come wake me up?" Her voice drops a little. Kaminari is taken aback by the sad tone.

"I'm sure he would have if you hadn't woken up on your own," he tries to console.

"Ever since Todoroki came to live with us Deku hasn't given me the same amount of attention," she says with tears welling up. Kaminari abandons the food he's preparing and rushes over to her. He pulls her into a tight hug and comforts her as she begins to cry.

"It's ok Eri. Izuku isn't doing it on purpose. He just doesn't know what to do with the feelings he has for Todoroki. It's new for him. Just like when you moved in us. Remember how hard it was to get out of your room?" He says with a soothing tone.

"Y-yeah," she stutters through tears.

"Izuku just wants to figure out how best to handle his feelings, just like you did when you locked yourself in your room,"

Her tears slow as she begins to think about it. Her mind rolling over the fear she first felt for Deku. The image of him covered in the blood of the doctors that hurt her. Deku had to work hard to get her to leave and even harder to get her to like him.

"Just tell Izuku how you feel. He won't get mad at you, he never has," Kaminari reassures.

"Tell me what??" Deku ask as he enters the kitchen. He notices Eri crying and rushes over.

"What's wrong?" He asks crouching down.

"Why didn't you wake me up when you got home?!" She cries. Deku is left speechless.

"I- I didn't know you wanted me to,"

His answer bubbles in Eri's chest. She begins to get angry and gets up from her chair.

"Why did you save me if you didn't want me around!!!" Eri shouts in frustration. She takes off out of the kitchen leaving the two teenagers completely stunned. Pain radiates from Deku's chest as her words play over and over in his mind. Without a conscious thought, he gets up and follows her.

Eri runs in circles, trying her best to mask her scent around the asylum so that she couldn't be found. Only settling in the library on the top floor. Her eyes sting and her chest feels tight. She no longer wears the bandages on her arms and legs, but for a split second she sees them wrapped around her. Her mind flashes back to her hiding in the corner of that dark room. Men in lab coats standing over her as she shakes with fear. She begins to feel the ghost of a needle going into her skin.

"You're part of something that a girl your age couldn't begin to understand! Don't cry or be afraid. Embrace it and relax. Master Overhaul will take care of you,"

"NOOOOOO!!! LET ME GO!! STOP HURTING ME PLEASE!!" Eri begged.

"Eri that's enough," Overhauls sickeningly calm voice resonates in her soul. Giving her a new sense of fear. On instinct her quirk activates to try and save her. The two men who her beside her vanish. Then nothing. It all goes black. A second later she's rematerializes in Overhaul's arms.
