Caught You~ Villain Deku x Todoroki

Chapter 28

Todoroki’s POV

Denki, Shinso, Eri, and I push the couch and chairs in the lounge back. Leaving all the space for us to make our own cozy spots around the coffee table. Surrounding ourselves with blankets and pillows to make our seats as comfortable as possible. Shinso and Eri are just along for the ride. Digging into the snacks Denki makes and playing each board game wholeheartedly. Denki and I are both divided between the task in front of us and the news. Hoping that by some miracle he’ll make it home safely.

“BREAKING NEWS!! Katsuki Bakugou was kidnapped by the League of Villains during an attack on a UA Summer Training Camp. Pro hero Ragdoll and 6 yr old Kota Izumi are also missing. This makes three kidnappings under UA’s watch,” the reporter announces. Denki lets out a loud groan. 

“Another mouth to feed. I just hope he isn’t a picky eater,” he mumbles. Shinso and I exchange confused looks.

“What are you talking about?” I ask.

“Izuku probably has Kota,” Denki answers. 

“Really?” Eri asks excitedly. 

“Yes, but if he does then you can’t hound him right away. He’ll be scared like you were when Izu brought you home,” he explains.

“Why would he bring home another kid?” Shinso questions, slightly irritated. 

“Why would someone bring a six year old to a training camp for aspiring heros?” Denki responds, trying to redirect Shinso’s irritation. 

Sure enough, when Deku does finally come through the front door, a small boy wearing a black short sleeve shirt with red jean shorts. His jet black hair is a mess and his face is red and puffy. He’s been crying. 

“We’re home!” He announces. A shit eating grin on his face looking at all of our shocked faces. 

“Have you already eaten?” Deku questions. 

“Been snacking all day. I can make something for the two of you though,” Denki offers. 

“That would be wonderful, wouldn’t Kota?” He asks the lump on his back. 

“Can you make onigiri?” Kota responds. His voice is soft, almost a whisper. Denki smiles.

“You’re lucky, that happens to be one of my favorite dishes,” he answers.

“Can I help?!” Eri shouts excitedly. She notices how Kota jumped when she yelled. I chuckle watching her try to make herself seem smaller. Repeating her question in a whisper, “can I help?”

“The more the merrier,” Denki’s smile widens. Denki moves to get up, walking over to Izuku as he sets Kota down.

“Wanna help? We’ll leave all the resting grouch faces out here,” Denki teases, extending a hand out to Kota. He looks back at Shinso and I, chuckling slightly before taking his hand. Eri jumps up and follows after them, leaving the three of us alone. In the second of silence after they leave the room, the news catches my attention. 

“The police have found the mangled body of Goto Imasuji, aka Muscular. He was responsible for the deaths of many, including that of pro heros Water Hose. His heart is missing along with most of the muscles on his body. Based on the brutality of the death, and the group involved, it’s speculated that Deku is the one res-” they display pictures of the scene as she talks. Deku rushes to shut off the TV as the image of his body comes across the screen. The sudden black screen gives my mind the perfect projector board. The image being burned into my memory. I look at Deku with wide eyes. 

“Here I thought that the news wasn’t allowed to show such graphic images,” He giggles awkwardly.

“What did you do to him?” I ask, uninterested in his games.
