Caught You~ Villain Deku x Todoroki

Chapter 26

One week later....

Deku's POV

"Please at least ask him if he wants to go. You need someone you can trust to back you up," Denki pleads. 

"It's not gonna happen. I can take care of it. I have for a year and a half, " I state. 

"You're not invincible Izuku," he argues. 

"I'm pretty damn close," I retort. 

"Dammit Izuku! You're too fucking stubborn," Denki shouts storming out of the room. I'm left alone to finish adjusting my suit. Still without a cape sadly enough. Todoroki barely spoke to anyone outside of Eri this past week. The effect of his actions have really taken a toll on him. I can't risk him having to do something like that again. 

As I finish adjusting my suit, Todoroki peeks his head through my door. 

"Denki seems pissed," he comments. 

"Yeah.... He doesn't want me going alone," I answer sheepishly. 

"To be honest, I don't really want you to either," he responds. 

"There's no one I want to take with me. I'm not putting you or Denki in a kill or be killed situation," I state. 

"You do know that was my decision right? I killed those officers because I didn't want to go back to my old life. It was for me and my own wellbeing," he argues.

"That doesn't change anything Sho. You still can't come and that's final," I put my foot down. 

"You have to learn how to trust other people, Izuku. I had your back at the hospital, why can't you trust me to have your back this time?" He says. 

"Because you don't have any real fighting experience! All of your training has come from controlled environments. I can't risk you getting hurt or worse losing yourself in a fight! You don't get back on the cliff after you've fallen off Sho," I shout. 

"That's not fair! Why should you have to burden yourself like this? You're not the only one with feelings Izuku and it's really selfish how you put your own life on the line and won't let anyone else do the same!!" He shouts back. His words cause a weight to form on my chest, a dull but noticeable pain when my heart beats. Am I being selfish? Maybe he could help.... No, I can't risk it. 

"Sho please understand, I can't lose the only family I have. I'll be f-"

"Fine yeah I know. You'll always be fine even when you're not. Denki is right, you're too stubborn for your own good," he states. Just like Denki, he goes storming off leaving his words to echo in my mind. The pain in my chest grows and my feet begin to move on their own. Before I know it I'm running through the woods, the asylum growing smaller and smaller with each passing second.

When I arrive at the rendezvous point, I find all the core members dressed up in their costumes. Along with a guest cast. I recognize Magne and Muscular, but not the other one. He's wearing a school uniform with a gas mask covering his whole face. 

"Deku you made it!" Toga giggles happily. I give her a faint smile and wave. 

"Like the Deku that took down the Shie Hassaikai?" Muscular questions. He saunters over, bending down slightly to meet my eyes.
