Amber's POV:
I rushed over to the door to let in the boys. One by one, they came through my door and each of the girls came over to greet them, including Lilli who started to doze off on the sofa. "Hey, you all know the friends I was inviting over. This is Bri, Ali, Grace, and Gill." They all awkwardly waved at them. Great.
"Hey," They all replied in unison. Each of the guys branched off to a girl to chat with. I cuddled up with Liam by the door and started to talk to Grace; she just recently got engaged to her long time boyfriend, Finn. She was my buddy while the boys were here since all the other girls were getting their flirt on.
"I like your slippers." I overheard Harry talking to Bri; of course he did. These boys had no way of hidding their feelings and it made it so easy to pick on them. I couldn't wait for the next time we all hang out.
"Are we all ready?" Liam interrupted everyone's conversations after standing around for ten minutes. They all said goodbye to the girls as they started to walk out the door. "Lilli, say goodnight to Mommy." She came and gave me a kiss and I sent her off witht he boys.
"So," I slowly shut the door as the girls creeped back to the sofa. "Anything we need to share?" I crossed my arms and demanded an answer from them.
"I have an idea." Gill ran over to her purse that was sitting by the door. She pulled out five colorful bracelets and laid them on the table, handing the red one to me; it said 'Liam' on it in white letters. "Pick your guy and spill your guts." This was a very serious matter and we knew how to hand it like adults.
Grace and I rolled our eyes at each other and awaited for the first brave girl to go. "Okay, I guess I'll go first." Ali leaned in to the coffee table and picked up the light pink bracelet and slipped it on her wrist. "I have a thing for Zayn." She whispered bashfully and started to blush.
"Why haven't you told me this? We've been like best friends for two years now!" I tossed my arms in the air furiously and stared at her bright, red face.
"I don't know. I didn't want you to think I was like that. It's no big deal though." She stared down at the pink rubber around her wrist and smiled. "Okay, someone else spill their guts." Bri reached in and grabbed the royal, blue bracelet.
"I really like Harry." Her slippers clicked together and she smiled.
"And I'm sure he likes you just as much as he likes your slippers." Grace shot her a cheeky wink and we all laughed. There were only two bracletes left on the coffee table and Gill was the only one who didn't spill it yet. "Come on you chicken! Tell us!"
Her face looked torn as she leaned in and picked up the lavender bracelet. Her sad eyes were fixed on me as she spoke. "I'm sorry. That's why I haven't told you. You're a great friend and I love Lilli, but I reallly do have a thing for Niall." My heart fell alittle, but I knew Niall wasn't going to stay single forever. And why should I care anyway? I was married to Liam now.
"Gill, it's fine really. Just because he's my ex doesn't mean you can't like him."
"Amber, he isn't just your ex, though." Bri added. "He's Lilli's father. And you almost married him."
"Yeah, and he left us. And now I'm married to Liam." That came out a littler harsher than I expected and I felt a little bad about that. "I'm sorry, it's just.." I shoved my face in my hands and exhaled.
"Is everything okay?" Ali rubbed my back and I figured I had to tell them now.
"Yeah, it's just I have a confession to make too." I looked up at them and smiled a little. "Liam and I are having a baby." They were all so excited and happy for me. I was attacked with hugs from my dearest of friends.
"Oh, now I get why you weren't drinking earlier." Ali finally put two and two together and we all laughed. "So, can we talk more about boys and this baby? Please?"
For the rest of the night, we just talked about the boys and the baby. We set up a date with the boys for the following morning. We also talked about Grace's up coming wedding. "I really want Lilli to be my flower girl!"
"Oh, I'm sure she'd love that!" I sipped on some tea I made for us. I decided to bring up names to the girls and ask them what they thought. "We are so incredibly lost. You guys have no idea." I brushed my loose bangs out of my face and brought my mug up to my lips.
"Well, I hope you have a little boy. I think Liam would like that." Gill smiled over at me and continued. "And if I can make a suggestion on a name for him? Connor." We all sighed; that was a sweet name. Connor Payne; it had a nice ring to it.
"This is so hard!" I smacked my forehead. The rest of the night fell from there. We all fell asleep within the hour, trying to get as much rest for our dates tomorrow morning. I was really excited about this; I felt a good outcome emerging from this.
