Amber's POV:

-November 27th-

"Good morning, birthday girl." Liam kissed my cheek, waking me up from a good night's sleep. A smile grew on my face as I inched closer to him and reached my arms towards his warm body.

"You're here!" I mumbled into his shirt. "I'm so glad that you're home."

"Well I did promise you that I'd try to get here, didn't I?" His hands stroked my back, lingering longer and longer as his fingers traced down my spine. His lips greeted mine and somehow I got lost in it. I missed him; not just because he was gone for a week, but I've missed him for awhile now.

"I wanted to tell you something." His crisp voice rang in my ear and my lips ran along his neck and jawline.

"And what's that?" I responded with a giggle. I felt the bed shake a little, but kept my eyes closed, awaiting his response. Something grabbed my calf and started to rub it. How was he doing that?

"Happy birthday, Momma!" Quickly I was brought back to reality where my daughter laid next to me in my illuminated bedroom. Liam wasn't here and it was all just a dream. My heart felt a little lighter, but I fought through my broken heart for my family. Niall sat at the end of my bed with Miracle in his arms; I am so thankful I gave him an extra key to the flat.

"Good morning, Angel." I began to sit up just to have her tackled me down on the sheets once again with her hugs and kisses.

I felt all over the place this morning; My messy bed head was hanging out of a loose ponytail and I slept with my glasses on. The binding and pages of my Nicholas Sparks novel were all bent up from me sleeping on it. I tried to stay up for as long as I could, waiting for Liam to text me, but I guess I crashed after a few hours.

"Well why don't you get your tush out of bed and come to the kitchen." Niall patted the lump in the covers that was my leg and bobbed his head towards the door. "Lilli set the table, I made you some coffee, and Miracle here made you some pancakes; you're favorite!" He made little faces down at Miracle who just smiled up him, looking exactly like Liam.

"Alright, I'll be out there in a second." Lilli hopped off of the bed and flew into the kitchen. I searched for my cell phone, whiched ended up being under my pillow. I unlocked it and frowned when my screen read 'NO NEW MESSAGES' on it.

I quickly scrolled through mine and Liam's conversation from last night, just to see if I read them correctly. 'I'm going to try to be home for tomorrow, but I can't promise you anything. - Liam xx'

'I know. :( I miss you! Tell your Mom & Dad that I love them and hope they're doing well! Love you<3 -Amber xx'

'K, love you too. - Liam' I felt my heart fall into my stomach, but brushed off the feeling when Niall's accent pierced my ears.

"Everything alright, Babe?" My mouth hung open and an unintelligent look stuck on my face; he called me Babe.

"Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Hungry, that's all. I'm coming now." I tossed my legs over the side of the bed and slipped my Batman socks into a pair of black slippers. "I'll meet you guys out there in a second." Niall nodded and walked out.

I ran over into my bathroom and ran a brush through my blonde locks, detangling in just so I could toss it back up. I was so fed up with being made someone's second prioriety and feeling more like a need, rather than a want. I was ready for a much needed change in my life, but this change required a tough decison to be made. I had to weigh the consequences of my actions against almost everything I had.

The cool, faucet water collected in the palms of my hands and I splashed it on my face. When I reached for a towel to pat my face dry, I noticed my wedding ring sitting on my finger; I must've fell asleep without taking it off.

I picked my glasses up off of the counter, carefully slidding them back onto my face. With one swift motion, I calmly slipped the ring off of my finger and sat it in my lonely jewlry dish before walking out to Niall and my girls. My decison was made and now it was time to act on it.
