Amber's POV:

-Early Summer-

It was a sunny, summer's day and Liam and I had decided to give the kids away to Isabella and Eric for the day. I figured we'd do some yard work; I was going to plant some pretty flowers I had bought earlier in the week while Liam cut the grass.

We had moved after the new year because the flat was getting a bit crowded what with four people living there. I thought I wasn't going to like a house more than our flat, but I actually love having a front and backyard and two stories; it's amazing.

My bathroom was huge so Liam and I got dressed side by side. While I finished up doing my hair, Liam poked my bare waist, making me giggle and twitch because I was tickleish. "Stop!"

I ran out of the bathroom and to my walk-in closet, trying to find a top to pair with my light wash shorts. I settled with a blue-green blouse that tied at my belly button. My feet slipped into a multi-colored pair of TOMS and I pondered on what else to add to my outfit.

A tan fedora peaked off of a high shelf; I stood on my tip toes to reach it, my wedding ring sparkling in the closet light. I smiled, knowing I made the right choice. Our marriage hadn't improved much since I tried to sneak around with Niall, but I was going to stay faithful to him. Although my almost affair haunts me every day.

"Lilli, you ready?" I ran down the hallway to get Miracle out of her crib; I couldn't believe she was ten months old now. Her dark hair curled around her ears and her deep, blue eyes smiled when they saw me coming. "Hi Mommy!" I picked her up and carried her down the stairs.

"Yeah, I'm ready!" Just last week, Lilli turned six; where was time going? She was getting tall, too, like Niall. Lilli's straight, blonde hair hung at her round face while her bright, blue eyes sparkled like Niall's.

"Okay, Liam, we're off! I'll be back in a half an hour!" I grabbed my purse as I heard him yell back to me to be careful. Then drive was quick and painless; no one cried. We jogged up to the door to greet Isabella. "Hi, thanks for taking them for the day." She had red shorts and a white tank top on, looking as stunning as ever.

"No problem! We love having the girls here." She took Miracle's hand and led her into the living room. She saw Eric and took off running; I don't know why, but she had some kind of proclivity to him. "So aren't you excited for Lou and El's wedding?" She laughed out.

"Of course I am! They only waited how many years to get married?" We chit chatted for a few minutes and then I decided to leave. I gave both my girls a kiss and headed home. "Hi Honey." I shouted out the window to Liam as I pulled into the driveway.

He was almost done cutting the front grass and soon ready to do the back. He pushed the mower around, with his top off and a bandana around his forehead; he looked just like my dad and it was kind of weird.

I planted the flowers in the front and then followed Liam to the back to plant the extras. He chased me around with the hose when I asked to borrow it and it just reminded me of being young again. I was free and young and happy.

"Okay, we can never do that again." We came into the house, shutting the back door behind us. Liam bumped into me, pulling my waist in so I was real close to his body. "Even though that was a lot of fun." He gave me a short, passionate kiss and then unloaded his pockets. "I think my phone suffered enough water damage today."

"Where are you going?" I took a seat at the kitchen table and cracked open a bottle of water.

"To take a shower. I'll be done in ten." With another peck, he was running up the stairs. I smiled to myself as I heard the shower turn on; should I go up there with him? Did he want me to come up? Was that his goal; to lure me into the shower with him?

I lost myself in a daydream until Liam's phone started to buzz against the island in the kitchen. I rose from my seat to check his phone, in case it was someone important. When I opened it, though, I almost passed out. I felt the blood rush out of my face and my stomach fall to the ground. My heart exploded in my throat and I just wanted to die.

My emotions were indesisive, though. No matter how mad I wanted to be, I had no right to be. All I could do was stare at the text message and let silent tears escape from my once dried eyes.

'What's your excuse tonight, Babe? ;) I miss you. Tell me when you get here? I Love You <333 -Dani xx'
