Isabella's POV:

I drug Amber across the field and over to the party area where all her guests waited to greet her. I had to keep her away from Niall since now I knew exactly what he was trying to get from her. I liked Niall, don't get me wrong, but she's with Liam now and I can't let him tear them apart.

Since the shower was on such short notice, not many people could attend. Amber's parents and siblings couldn't make it over here on such short notice due to plane tickets and just everyday life going on over in America. Niall's parent's were here because they came to visit with Niall and Lilli while Amber and Liam were away.

I intended on inviting Liam's parents, but when I asked Niall for a phone number to reach them at he said, "I don't have one. Liam said they got their numbers changed and he never gave me their new ones." I found that a little strange, but just blew it off.

All the girls frome the studio including Grace and Finn, Bri and Harry, Louis and Eleanor, Ali and Zayn, Gill, and Eric came with me. I wasn't real sure of Gill and Niall's relationship, but they interacted well throughout the day. I also invited Josh, the band's drummer, and he asked if he could bring his girlfriend.

"Hey Love! Long time, no see?" Josh tapped on Amber's shoulder shortly before taking her into his arms. A beautiful girl hovered behind Josh. She wore white shorts and a teal tank top, speckled with white polk-a-dots. Her bright blue eyes were surrounded by teal eye make-up and her long, brown hair hung naturally down her back.

"Oh my gosh, hi! I've missed you so much!" They caught up briefly before Josh remembered the quiet girl who stold behind him.

"Oh, Amber, this is my girlfriend, Nicole. Nicole this is Amber, Liam's wife, and that's her friend Isabella." Both of us shook hands with Nicole and expressed our delights upon meeting. "Why don't you girls chat, while I go talk to Liam?"

"Okay, sounds nice." Amber quickly wrapped her arms around Josh's neck and squeezed him before he wandered off. "It was nice seeing you, Buddy." Nicole and I awkwardly stood next to each other as we watched Josh walk away, over to Niall and Liam.

We all chatted for a little bit about nominal things and about nothing in particular; it was nice to let the conversation flow into whatever it wanted to be. Nicole fit in with us well, and I liked that. Mickey and Lilli came up to us for a few minutes and we introduced them to Nicole.

"They are such a handful!" Amber breahed out in a motherly fashion. "You thinking of having any kids someday?" I looked into her eyes and wondered the same thing; she couldn't be any younger than we were, maybe even a year or so older?

"Oh," Nicole laughed out, staring down at the ground. "I have a son. His name is Bradley. He's seven. It was his father's weekend with him; that's why he's not here." Our faces grew lighter and the atmosphere got even more relaxed.

"Really? That's great! Another Mom to join the groupd!" I joked around with her, making Nicole's glossy lips stretch across her face.

"We'll have to get Lilli, Mickey, and Bradley together sometime and we can get together too!" Amber got real excited about this; it was great to have a nice supporting, understanding group of friends.

The rest of the free time we had, the three of us talked about our children. Nicole showed us pictures of her son who, assumingly, looked a great deal like his father. Her wallet had several pictures of her with the blonde, curly haired boy. He had Nicole's eyes, but besides that, they really didn't share any common features.

The conversation switched gears and I tuned myself out a little. My neck snaked around, searching the park for Niall. I finally spotted him over by his parent's and he gave me the signal. "Hey Amber," I tugged on her arm again, this time interrupting her deep coversation with Nicole. "It's time for presents!" With a quick roll of her eyes, I whisked her away to a large, white rocking chair seated under a tree.
