HIS'S POV

I was waiting for someone, or hoping to catch a glimpse of someone, while seated on the temple steps. I looked around while I was sitting there, rolling up my sleeves, and saw some kids and beggars sitting on the steps below me. It's become usual to come here and wait for her, like every Saturday. My thoughts became lost in it, but I had to snap out of them when I heard the sound of an ankle and realized who was on the stairs. I got a quick glimpse of her, and she was stunning in a light lavender suit. I take my eyes off of her, trying not to look too eerie. Just before she passed by me, we heard a girl's voice saying

"Bakshi" she said as she turned to face the girl, giving her an impolite look and a pout.

"Stop calling me that," she uttered as I turned to face the two girls who were sitting two or three stairs above me when I looked back. I can only hear their conversation as the girl says, sitting upright.

"I'm worn out. You brought us here to this temple first, and now God alone knows what you asked. Tell us as well, we deserve to know."

"Look, Chaya, what I have requested from God is neither revealed nor fulfilled when it is revealed." Khushi stated,

"Jyada kuch nhi isne apne hisse ke mohabbat mange hai, right jaan." (She only asked for her fair share of love, right love; nothing more.)  Khushi was teased and laughed at by the other girl.

"Mohabbat mangne se nhi milti, apne aap milti hai."  (Love comes without asking; it comes from the heart.) Khushi remarked The same girl said,

"Just like the letter guy," and they both burst out laughing. umm... Letter guy

"Shabdo se na baya karo apne halat, tum shayari kaho hum jajbaat samajh jayenge."  The girl spoke once more, but Chaya began praising her this time by saying

(Okay, okay, don't use words to describe your circumstances; instead, use poetry, and we'll understand.)

"Ah, Adriti. Living with Khushi also makes you begin to recite poetry."

"Are you done, guys? Let's go" Khushi said, but the two girls spoke at the same time.

"We won't leave until you tell us." I try not to laugh at this, but I can't help but cough to mask my laughter.

"All right." Khushi sighed as she spoke.

"Irshad, Irshad"

"I am not saying any poetry; if you want to sit here, sit gladly. I don't care." She turned to leave, but before she could reach the stairs beside me, she stopped, turned back, and said,

"Pata nhi kiski jholi me apne aapko dal aaye hu.
Aye khuda... aab tujhe he pata,
Apne aapko kiss shakash ke naam kar aaye hu." With that, she left from there.
