Author's POV

Following the incident, Aviraj takes Khushi to a nearby market in an attempt to distract her from her fear. He knows that distracting her with the hustle and bustle of the market will make her feel more at ease and allow her to forget about the incident for a while. He makes her buy a lot of things, and finally, he buys some green glass bangles for her and tries to make her wear them, but Khushi looks at him and tells him that she is not wearing Indian clothes, and these bangles will not look good on her outfit. Seeing his expression drop, she requests that he make her wear two bangles in each hand. After shopping, they both return to the palace.

"You go and rest; I have important work that will take some time." Nodding, she exited the car and made her way to her room, but someone grabbed her hand and dragged her to the garden. Khushi tried to appear calm in front of Harshit, but deep down, she was filled with fear and uncertainty. She just wanted to kill him with a smile.

"What happened, Harshit?" He takes two steps forward, leans towards her, and says:

"Missed me, darling?" Khushi took a step back, looking into his eyes, and smiled as she spoke.

"No." Harshit chuckled as he moved forward, trapping her between himself and a tree, and said

"Really? Do you enjoy your date with your lovely husband while he uses his power and keeps me locked up the whole night?" Without giving him the satisfaction of seeing her shock, she smirked and said,

"How sad. I expect him to do something better than this." Harshit leaned forward and said

"True. Why? Were you busy keeping an eye on me?" Khushi maintained her composure and responded,

"I am not a free person like you, Harshit, who loves to keep an eye on people." He gave her a sadistic smile and said,

"Here, I thought you liked me a bit, but you just want to know who is behind the deaths of your lovely father and mother in-law." Harshit leaned forward and said in a low tone,

"Let me tell you that Anasuya Rajvansh, your lovely mother-in-law, was responsible for the deaths of everyone here. She first marries Anshveer Rathore, destroying their lives; then she try to lure my father, destroying their relationship. She's fucking bi..." Khushi interrupted him in the middle of his sentence, her eyes brimming with rage, and warned him while staring at him.

"Careful how you finish the sentence, Harshit; otherwise, I will show you what I can do when someone says things about my mother-in-law, my Anu ma."

"Protective and possessive about the person you never meet, uhu, this thing I love about you, darling, but you yourself forced me to do this." Harshit said this as he pressed his handkerchief against her mouth and nose. She stopped breathing when she sensed something suspicious, but Harshit hit her in the stomach, causing her to inhale the chloroform and lose consciousness almost immediately. Harshit picked her up and held her close to him as she collapsed in his arms. He led her to the car and made her settle in. He started the car and drove somewhere with Khushi.
