QOTD

The worst thing someone said to you?

--- ≪ °✾° ≫ ---

Aviraj Singh Rathore's POV

I feel good as I tell Khushi everything about my past. I don't want anything to stand in the way of us; I want her to accept me for who I am, with my flaws and all. After telling Khushi everything, she looks at me and expresses her desire for me to communicate with the stars. I know it's stupid, but if she asks me to do the most stupid thing, I'll do it for her, my serenity, and us.

As Khushi exited the room with an excuse to give me some alone time, I spent some time staring at the stars she pointed to, fighting the internal battle of whether or not to talk. I continued looking at the stars and stated,

"She is not stupid, ma, but she does foolish things for me. Today, too, she lies to give me space while her phone is with me. I'm sorry; I cannot save you, and if I try harder, you will be here with us. Adhir, if we were here together, I would have bought you the new car and not asked you to share it with me. You know you're lucky to be with Ma and our little sister; my luck wasn't so good; you know I couldn't see her face; she's lucky to have a big brother like you; look after both of them."

"I know that is hard to believe, but I love you all, especially your scared kitten." I chuckled and said, Keep looking at the sky, and time will pass peacefully and calmly. I got up and went downstairs to see Khushi. It's been almost an hour since I last saw her sitting on the couch, eyes closed, head resting on the headset, hands circled around her knees, hair teasing her cheeks. I shifted to the back of the couch, leaning forward on my arms, and moved her hair away from her face. She is the epitome of beauty, my beautiful wife, and solely mine.

"Khushi"

Her eyes are open to meet mine. She quickly gets up and moves towards me. With a concerned face, she stands in front of me and asks

"What happened? How do you feel?"

"Nothing and fine." Her eyes soften upon hearing me, so I pull her towards me, hug her, and then say

"By the way, now I am feeling much better." She hugged me and smiled against my neck. She returned her gaze to mine and caressed my cheek with one hand. I lean toward her, murmuring.

"Khushi" closes her eyes, a soft smile playing across her lips. With a small smirk, I lean a little further and ask

"Are you hungry?" She hummed, and my smirk widened. A soft chuckle escaped my lips as a frown appeared on her forehead, and I stated, rubbing our noses together.

"Let me get some food for you." But I feel a tug on my waist and realize Khushi is holding my hand. I turn towards her again, and she begins to say

"Aviraj, I..." I understand what she intends to say, but I don't want her to say it out of sympathy or pity. I keep my finger on her lips, preventing her from saying anything.
