 Author's POV

Khushi took slow steps towards her room. As she entered the room, she took a few steps forward and did something hard yet soft. She closed her eyes and muttered.

"Can I cry, please? Don't ask why; I just want to." Saying this, she buries her face on the chest, one arm protectively wrapped around her waist, and the other hand caresses her head. Her silent cries turned into sobs. After crying for a few moments, she raised her head, wiped her tears, and answered,

"Sorry, I shouldn't cry like this." Saying this, she turned to leave, but someone held her hand and pulled her back, hugging her and declaring,

"You don't need to say sorry, Jaan." She looks in the mirror and notices Aviraj standing behind her, hands around her waist and chin on her shoulder. He kisses her cheek, and his beard rubs against it. She sighs, keeping her head against his chest, and closes her eyes while Aviraj claims

"Let me help you with this jewelry. You are looking tired." Saying this, he proceeded to remove her earring, necklace, and other jewelry, leaving only a nuptials chain around her neck and two bangles in each hand as Khushi didn't like her hands empty, so he turned her towards himself, claiming that she was now facing him. While removing the pin from her dupatta, she kept looking at his face, seeing admiration and love in her eyes. He spoke without looking at her.

"Don't look at me with that look; it is distracting." Hearing him, she looks away, but Aviraj holds her jaw between his thumb and figures, forces her to look at him, and declares

"I'm not telling you to look away; just don't look but also talk. Your silence is the scariest thing." He said that he becomes preoccupied with his work, and Khushi kept looking at him and uttering

"I don't want to go home; everything gets messed up." Aviraj kept his hands by her sides, touched his nose with hers, and said,

"A beautiful one, I might add." Khushi giggled, and Aviraj leaned closer to her and added

"Would you like any assistance with the dress too? I won't mind." Hearing him, her cheeks rose up. She pushed him gently and replied,

"Get out of my room." And make her way to the restroom, but he holds her hand and claims drastically.

"You're so mean; you keep me here until you need my help, and then you kick me out as soon as your work is finished. How evil." She approached him and placed her hands on his shoulders while standing on her toes. She gently pressed her lips against his, and looking into his eyes, she murmured.

"Now, get out." She rolled her eyes and went on to stand in front of the mirror. She looked at herself; her eyes and face were red from crying. She splashed cold water on her face. She looked in the mirror and commented,

"Yeh khel shuru beshakh tumne kiya hai, Harshit, but yeh khel jitenge to hum hee." Looking at herself, she reminisced about when all of this started. At the party...

(Of course, Harshit, you started this game, but only we can win it.)
