Author's POV

The next morning, Khushi awoke earlier than usual and couldn't find Aviraj in the room, so she decided to take a bath. When she comes out of the bath wearing only a bathrobe because she forgot to take her clothes, her gaze is drawn to the saree on the bed. She frowns, realizing that this saree is not hers. There were a few boxes, too. She opens the box and discovers bangles and a necklace inside. As the gate opens, Aviraj enters, carrying a paper roll containing something. He looked at Khushi and opened his mouth to speak, but then reconsidered. She was focused on the things in front of her. Aviraj hugged her while sneaking his arms around her waist and whispering.

"Hume to laga tha kee in cheezo se aap jyada achi lagenge par aap to ese hee achi lag rhe hai, humare sare mehanat kharab ho gye." (I believe you will look beautiful in all of these things, but look at yourself; you are beautiful even without them; all of my efforts have been in vain.) He kisses the base of her neck and turns her toward him. She looks confused and asks.

"Why all this?"

"You weren't feeling well yesterday, so I decided to buy something for you, and what could be better than all of these things you enjoy? I was going to give you all of this yesterday, but I forgot to get something." He spoke softly, caring for her cheeks, and then brought forward the paper roll containing gajra. He then looked at her and said,

"Jao tyaar ho jao." (Go get ready.) She shyly looked down and said,

"Aap laaye hai to, pahna bhe dejeye." (You brought all of these and then made me wear them.)

"Agar yeh baat mujhe phle pata hote to mai saare nhi kuch aur lata, biwi." (If I had known this beforehand, I would have brought something different, wife.) He said, and then kissed her jaw, saying,

"Wear it till I go and take a shower." And I went to take a shower. Khushi changed and began draping the saree. The dark red saree with the gold border is stunning. After draping the saree, she applied her makeup, and Aviraj arrived after taking a bath in his trouser. He arrived and saw her standing in front of the mirror with wet hair. He walked up and stood behind her. She looked at him through the mirror, moving her hair to one side to reveal the undone knot in her blouse. He tied the knot, moved his finger, and kissed her neck while maintaining eye contact. He noticed Khushi's eyes drop, and she turned her face to the other side. Then, picking up the necklace, he forced her to wear it, not letting go of his chance to touch her teasingly.
