HIS'S POV

I'm not sure why, but ever since I first saw that girl, I've been making my way to Sunshine Orphanage without even knowing it. It's as if there's an invisible force pulling me towards her, compelling me to be near her. The mere thought of her brings a warmth to my heart that I can't explain. I wait for a few days, but no one comes, and then one day Ritu Aunty sees me waiting and asks

"Hello, Mr. Rathore. Looking for someone?" I awkwardly glanced here and there. I clear my throat and ask.

"Three days ago, I noticed a girl dancing in the rain. You also warn her not to dance in the rain and scold her; her name is something like Miss Bakshi." I pretend to think clearly, knowing what she called her.

"Khushi? What happens? Does she do something?"

"Khushi," I whisper, a smile on my face. I first mask the smile, and Aunty says,

"She is a kid; please forgive her if she does something, Mr. Rathore." I spoke, clearing my throat.

"She does nothing, just asking because, as long as I remember no one else, then you work here; expect a few workers?"

"Oh, she doesn't work here; she just comes here with her friends to meet these kids every Friday, talk with them for some time, and play with them." I nodded and headed to the office. As I entered, my PA looked concerned and asked

"Sir, your dad is unaware of your late arrival today, but I believe I cannot hide it from my and your dad. They'll figure it out eventually; if you tell me about your problem, I might be able to help."

"Now you only need to cover me on Friday, Mr. Dhareen. There is nothing you can do about her." I initially said, looking at him, and then murmured the final part, but he heard and said,

"Her? Do you want to know about some girls? Tell me something about her, and I'll give you all the details, including her family history."

"I don't need any details about her from you, and it is not good to do a background check on anyone." I said sternly to my PA, who gulped and left.

"I will collect details about her from her; wait for me, Miss Khushi Bakshi." I said I was looking out the window. As I watched my PA leave, I couldn't help but feel a pang of curiosity about Miss Khushi Bakshi. Little did I know, this encounter would mark the beginning of a journey for us.

Khushi Aviraj Singh Rathore's POV

The next morning, I wake up due to sunlight disturbing my sleep after calling Mumma to close the curtains. I reluctantly opened my eyes, and it took me a while to remember where and who I was. After that, I went to the restroom to freshen up, grateful that no one was in the room. I chose a simple cream-colored saree with yellow flowers printed on it and a green blouse. It's a good thing they change the wardrobe based on my clothing size; otherwise, I'd have to roam in my pajamas.
