Aviraj Singh Rathore's POV

With each passing minute, I feel as if someone is tearing my heart apart. Just ten more minutes, and we'll be there. I hope Khushi is fine and that nothing bad happens to her, because if it does, I will never be able to forgive myself. She's in this situation because of me. Please, God, I never ask for anything, but keep my wife safe. We soon arrive and see an old school building. I get out of the car, look at Adarsh, hold the gun tightly in my hand, and walk to the location shown on my phone with our bodyguards, but nothing is there. I close my eyes and mutter.

"Khushi, please be safe for me."

We looked carefully but found no one looking here and there, until I noticed two large pictures placed there. Moving the pictures to one side, we noticed a small gate. When we opened the door, we noticed stairs downstairs and the smell of something burning. We move quickly downstairs and notice another door. As I move forward, the burning smell intensifies. I attempted to open the door, but it was locked. Breaking through the door, I notice the fire in the room. Seeing the fire reminds me of the day my mother died. My eyes are burning, and I'm shaking my head.

The flames were hot, and I could feel them on my skin. Memories of that tragic day came flooding back. I moved into the room and opened my eyes to see Khushi. I saw her in a terrible condition, unconscious and surrounded by flames. My heart raced as I dashed to her side, kneeled before her, and cradled her in my arms. I shook her head and replied,

"Wake up, Khushi, please." I noticed the cuts and blood on her skin. Panic set in as I attempted to figure out how to get her out safely. I took off my coat and wrapped it around her. Picking her up, I dashed towards the door, shielding her from the flames as best I could. The smoke was thick and suffocating, but I persevered, determined to save her life. As I exited the room, I looked at the guards and said,

"One more person is inside; save him." I started the car while sitting in the backseat with Khushi in my arms, uttering that I'd go outside with Adarsh. Her breath was slow but steady as her head rested on my shoulder. I swept my gaze over her hands and legs to see the cuts then closed my eyes regretfully. We soon arrived at the hospital, and the doctors led her into the ICU, leaving me helpless to do anything but stand there and stare at the door.

----

When I went inside, I saw Khushi lying on the hospital bed, with a few machines attached to her. I approached her and sat in the chair beside her, holding her hand gently and staring at her face. The doctor stated that she has an injury on her right foot and both shoulders, resulting in a significant loss of blood. Aside from that, she sustained a few minor injuries. If she is willing, it will take her twelve hours to wake up; otherwise, they will be unable to grant anything due to the amount of blood loss. I sigh and gently brush my hand against her cheek, holding her left hand in mine.

"I had no idea the woman I was in love with was so strong mentally, emotionally, and physically. I never say this to anyone, including Adarsh and Ayaan, but I'm saying it to you, baby." Grabbing her palm in both hands, I kept my head on it and said, with closed eyes:
