Khushi Aviraj Singh Rathore's POV

As I moved towards the door and opened it, I smiled at my father. Moving aside, I gave him room to enter, interlocking our elbows. We made our way towards Aviraj, and the others looked at dad in shock. Dad raised his eyebrows at me. I nodded and told him,

"So, he is the first person I included in my plan. The best man in my life."

"My daughter added me before you all three." Adarsh and Rakshit dropped their jaws at dad, but Aviraj looked at him amusedly and stated

"You too, dad; I thought you didn't listen to anyone other than your wife." Dad glared at him and replied,

"We will see when you will have a daughter." Aviraj rolled his eyes and murmured.

"Only if your daughter lets me." That was not meant to be heard, but I noticed my cheeks turning red, as did those of others. Had dad ignored it while Adarsh and Rakshit looked at him with a smirk and stated.

"Desperat... disprin, I mean disprin, my head is hurting, ouch." Aviraj gives him a look, which means finish the sentence and you won't be able to speak. Adarsh tries not to laugh. Aviraj's eyes meet mine. I press my teeth against my lower lip. Our eye contact ends when I hear the voice saying

"Aren't you going to welcome me inside?"

No way in hell

I looked at dad, and he nodded. I turned around to see Mom standing at the door. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. She approached us and sat with Dad. Everyone kept looking at mom, so I declared

"Let me get some coffee for you." Saying this, I went to the kitchen and began making tea. After a while, I sensed someone's presence and turned to see.

"Khushi, I... I don't know how to ask you forgiveness for what I have done in the past few days. I am sorry; I don't know what happened to me, but I want you saved and alive, Khushi. I don't want you to know who did all this." Mom joined her hand and continued

"I have not done anything, mom. Above all, why do you care so deeply about that person? If you don't do that, why are you afraid?" I clasped her hands and said,

"Stop what you're trying to do. The last time someone tried to find out who was behind this, we all lost four lives, and I am not prepared to lose another four lives. Your life was also on the line today, and you're here doing all of this." My eyes welled with tears, and I demanded

"Mom, I do not want to leave with fear for the rest of my life. I'm giving you a chance, Mom. You can notify me if you do something; I will stop everything and never tell anyone. He already has trust issues, and I don't want him to feel betrayed by the person he loves the most." Mom gave me an aggressive look and replied,

"Why will I do something to my sister and my family members? Don't forget who you're speaking to, Khushi. When you speak to me, be mindful of your words." I take two steps forward, filled with rage, and look dead into my mother's eyes and state,
