- CHAPTER THREE - 💰 Muted 💰
Iris sat on the ground in front of the couch, Valen sitting leaning against Iris' knees. Valen had a hold on her mother's fingers as she babbled on and on. "That girl learned she can make sounds and hasn't stopped since." Omari said as he and Cecile walked into the living room, making Iris chuckle.
"I can already tell I'm gonna get so much back talk from her when she's older." Iris said, making her mother laugh, "So she'll be like you." Cecile said, making Iris look at her with a smile. "You say that as if you let me give you much back talk." Iris said and her parents chuckled before Iris's smile slowly faded as she slightly turned her head to the side a bit.
"What's wrong, Flower?" Omari asked before Iris stood up, keeping a protective hold on Valen. "That protection spell is still up, right?" Iris asked as she looked out the window, "Should be. Nothing that wishes us harm should be able to get in. Why?" Cecile asked and Iris shook her head slightly.
"I don't know... I just suddenly got the feeling that someone dangerous was near." Iris said and Omari furrowed his brows as he stood up. One look at Omari when he got in protective mode would be enough to scare anyone away.
