- CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN - ⚡Radio Silence⚡
"So you found an abandoned jeep in the school's parking lot, it has all your scents inside, and it might be connected to Stiles?" Iris asked as Scott stood across the front desk of the hospital. "Pretty much, yeah. We were hoping you could come look at it, see if you could trigger a vision." Scott said and Iris sighed as she looked down at her watch.
"I can't leave early, I have a surgery in twenty but I get off at six and I'll meet you at the school then." Iris said and Scott nodded.
Later that day Lydia pulled up to the school where Scott and Iris stood in front of the tow truck guy next to the jeep. "We already paid you for that drop fee." Scott said and the guy shrugged, "Yeah, and I dropped it, all right? Now, I'm picking it up again." The guy said as Lydia walked up to them.
"How much? I'll write you a check." She said and the guy shook his head, "It's not about how much- they want it out of here, okay? It's not up to me." He said and went to walk over to the jeep but Iris stood in the way. "Don't make me move you. Okay? I'm hookin' this thing up and I am towing it away." The guy said and Iris just raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms over her chest.
"You can try." She said but before anyone could say anything a squeaking sound came making them look over to see Malia pulling the hook off the rope. "Your truck's broke." She said as she handed him the hook while he looked at her crazy and she just smiled.
A little while later Scott and Lydia were falling asleep in the jeep while Iris and Malia stood outside when all of the sudden a loud roar made them jump up. Lydia and Scott quickly climbed out of the jeep and ran over to Malia and Iris. "Did you hear that?" Malia asked and Lydia nodded, "I think all of Beacon Hills heard that." She said.
"Who is it?" Scott asked and Malia shook her head, "I'm not sure, but I think I recognize it." Malia said and all glanced at each other. "Go!" Lydia said and almost instantly, Scott, Malia and Iris ran off.
"Hey, any luck?" Scott asked as he, Iris and Malia met up with each other after a little while of looking around. "No. He hasn't roared again. I've got a scent, but..." Malia said and Scott shook his head slightly, "There's something wrong with it." He said and Malia nodded.
"It smells like whoever it is...is burning." Malia said before there was a distant roar making them glance at each other before following it. They ran until they found the burnt body of a man and they cautiously walked towards him.
"I hear a heartbeat." Malia said and Iris looked at the man in confusion, "Who is that?" She asked and Malia furrowed her brows. "I don't know, but I know the scent, even through the barbecue." She said as she walked over to the man while Scott and Iris glanced around. "How do you think he got here? There's no tracks, no fire..." He said all of the sudden the man's eyes shot open, making them jump slightly before Malia's eyes widened.
"Oh, my God! Peter?" Malia asked and the man mumbled in pain as it seemed like he tried to nod, making Iris and Scott run over to them. "Who's Peter?" Iris asked and Malka glanced at him, "Peter Hale- my dad." Malia said and Iris looked at the man before realization crossed over her features.
"He bit me. How could I forget him?" Scott asked and Malia raised her eyebrows slightly. "How did I forget him?" She asked and Iris nodded, "I've known him my whole life." She said. Peter weakly tried to nod at his hand, making Malia look down, "He has something." She said.
Peter started letting out pained grunts, making Malia and Scott take his pain away for a moment before he passed out. The three of them glanced at each other before Malia pulled something out of Peter's hand. "What is it?" Iris asked and then Malia held up a set of keys.

"So Peter Hale got taken by the Ghost Riders and now he's back?" Omari asked as he, Iris, Cecile and Jordan stood around the living room, Iris holding Valen. "Yep." Iris said and Cecile raised her eyebrows, "Is he going to become a problem again?" She asked and Iris sighed.
"Maybe but not for a while. He's in the burn victims unit of the hospital and he's not gonna be leaving anytime soon. His burns are worse than they were after the fire." Iris said and Jordan sighed. "The last thing we need right now is Peter trying to kill any of us again." He said and Iris looked at him in amusement, "He might think twice if he knows there's a possibility he could be burned again, for a third time, by a Hellhound." Iris said.
"Hell!" Valen suddenly yelled, making everyone look at her shocked for a moment as she giggled. "Hell!" She said again, and Omari and Cecil laughed while Iris put her hand over her mouth, turning her head away as she tried not to laugh too much. Jordan looked at them in amusement as he walked over to Iris, "I thought we had to watch what we say around her." He said.
"I didn't think she would just hook on to that specific half of the word." Iris said, laughing softly as she looked at him. "Hell." Valen said, making them all laugh more as Iris kissed the side of her head.
