- CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE -
Memory Lost

Iris sat in the passenger side seat of the Turner family car, her eyes closed as Lydia climbed onto the driver seat. Lydia closed her eyes, taking a deep breath while holding onto the steering wheel before opening her eyes again and looking into the mirror with a hum.

Stiles flailed awkwardly in the backseat before sitting up. He looked at her with an eager expression, clearly expecting a revelation of some kind. "What?" He asked as Lydia still stared at her reflection, "This is a perfect shade for me. I forgot the name." Lydia said, making Iris chuckle and look over at Lydia. "Color does suit your eyes nicely." She said, making Lydia smile at her, "Thank you."

Stiles looked at two with a mix of incredulity and exasperation, "Can we please stay on topic?" He asked and Iris sighed before sitting back in the seat and looking at him. "We've been at this for like ten minutes and Lydia's not feeling anything and I'm not getting any visions." She said but before anyone could say anything they heard a coyote howl, making them all get out of the car to see a coyote running over.

Iris pulled out some clothes out of her bag right as the coyote turned into Malia. "I don't think they're dead." Lydia said as Iris handed Malia the clothes, "They're dead. Probably torn apart. The only thing I don't get is why there's no blood." Malia said, making Iris sigh slightly. "They're not dead. If they were dead, I would sense it." Lydia said and Malia shrugged as she put on the clothes, "If they were alive, I'd smell it."

"Yeah, I'm not getting anything either." Scott said, making Stiles look at him exasperatedly. "Scott, what are you talkin' about? You were in his head for four minutes! I timed it." Stiles said and Scott shrugs, at a loss for options as to explain the evening's events, shrugs tiredly, "Well, it's not an exact science... And he's a kid. Maybe he's too freaked out to remember?"

"Why does it matter if they're dead?" Malia asked looking at Stiles confused, "Dead is dead, okay? If it's just a robbery, we can't help them. And, if it's something supernatural, my dad can't help them." Stiles said, making Iris raise her eyebrows at him. "It sounds like you want it to be supernatural..." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"It's been, like, three months since anything's happened." He said and Lydia scoffed lightly, "Yeah, and once a week, you drag me out of bed like I'm some sort of supernatural metal detector." She said and Stiles looked at her in offense. "Okay, it is way more often than that." He said, making Iris roll her eyes.

"Stiles, you realize I have a small child and I work in the hospital. I really don't have the time to actively hunt down the supernatural creatures that may or may not want to kill us. You should be happy nothing has happened yet." Iris said and Stiles raised his eyebrows.

"You can't tell me that you think this is just some series of impossible coincidences?" Stiles asked and Lydia rolled her eyes, "What we're saying is maybe that wouldn't be so bad." She said before she, Iris and Malia walked away.

After dealing with Stiles and his Hunt for something supernatural, Iris had picked up Valen and went over to Jordan's apartment so her parents could have the night to themselves. Now it's the morning and Iris walked into Jordan's room after taking a shower and getting ready. She paused for a moment when she noticed Valen wasn't where she left her in the crib Jordan had bought for his apartment.

Iris furrowed her brows before walking out only to find Jordan holding Valen as he got his stuff ready. Iris smiled softly as she leaned her shoulder against the wall, watching him for a moment. Jordan turned and looked up and noticed Iris looking at him, making him smile and raise his eyebrows.

"What?" He asked and Iris shrugged slightly as she walked over to him, "Nothing." She said before covering Valen's ears. "You'd make a pretty hot dilf though." Iris said, making Jordan look at her in amusement, "I don't think she knows what that means." Jordan said. "We gotta watch what we say around her. She's gonna be saying her first word any day now, she's been trying. I really don't need her first word to be dilf." Iris said and Jordan chuckled.

Jordan leaned down, kissing Iris, making her smile into the kiss. All of the sudden, Valen started babbling, making them look away to look at her. "What? Do you feel left out?" Iris asked before kissing her daughter's cheek over and over. Valen squealed and giggled, making Jordan chuckle softly.

"Hey." Iris said as she walked up to Jordan in the high school, gently grabbing his arm, making him look at her. A little bit ago Liam, Mason and Hayden had found a dead body somewhere in the school. "Hey, what are you doing here?" He asked and she sighed, "Stilinski wanted me to come down and see if this is something supernatural or just a murder." Iris said and Jordan raised his eyebrows.

"Never thought I would ever hear someone say 'just a murder' so casually." He said, making Iris chuckle. She was about to say something but someone called his name making him sigh softly.

"Work is never done, Deputy." Iris said and Jordan smiled at her before leaning down to kiss her quickly then walking over to another Deputy. Iris went to walk away when all of the sudden someone ran up to her. "Iris! Iris! Thank god you're here." Stiles said in a panicked tone, making her look at him with an alarmed look, her brows furrowed.

"Woah, hey. Take a breath, you don't want to trigger a panic attack." Iris said as she gently grabbed his shoulder making him take a deep breath. "Okay, Iris, listen to me. There is something supernatural going on. They're called the Ghost Riders and they're coming for me." Stiles said, making Iris raise her eyebrows.

"How do you know about that?" Iris asked making Stiles look at her confused, "What?" He said and realization crossed over her features. "You said Ghost Riders?" Iris said and Stiles nodded, making her nod slowly, "I'm going to ask you a question and I need you to answer me and not freak out." Iris said. "Did I know you before this conversation?" Iris asked, making Stiles look at her with a defeated look.

"Not you too..." He mumbled and Iris tightened her hold on him, "Don't freak out yet. Answer my question." Iris said. "Yes. Yes, you know me. It's me, Stiles." He said and Iris nodded, "If the Ghost Riders are coming for you, and I have already forgotten you. You have minutes, if not seconds, from them taking you." Iris said, making Stiles' eyes widen.

"There is bound to be at least one person who remembers who you are. Try to say something or do something that might make them remember you by. It sounds impossible, but you can't completely erase someone. Try your family or your closest friends, find someone that still remembers you." Iris said and Stiles nodded slightly, taking a deep breath before running away.

A second later Jordan walked over to Iris, "Who was that?" He asked, making her look at him before looking back down the hallway with a confused look. The entire conversation was already erased from her memory.

"I have no idea."
