- CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN -
🏹 Silver 🏹

"Why is the guy who went to Japan to free the Nogitsune now in Beacon Hills trying to burn down the woods?" Jackson asked as he walked back and forth in Stilinski's office, tossing an apple up and down. "He's not trying to burn down the woods. It's- only part of it." Lydia said, looking at a crime board.

"Do we have to play junior detectives? Can't we just leave it up to the actual detectives?" Jackson asked, making Lydia cock an eyebrow, "Do you see any actual detectives standing around?" Lydia asked and Jackson sighed. "But what do detectives do anyways? Do they like, go to the scene of the crime and... detect something?" He asked, making Lydia look at him.

"That's exactly what they do." She said as Jackson took a bite out of the apple, "We need to look at one of the burn sites, the first one." Lydia said and Jackson shrugged before Malia, Iris and Gia ran in. "Guys, guys." Malia said, making them look over, "Hi." She said when she saw Jackson.

"We got a big ass problem." Malia said and Iris shook her head slightly, "Derek, Stilinski, Deaton, my parents... Eli and Valen, they're all gone." Iris said, making Lydia's eyes widen. "What do you mean gone?" She asked and Iris sighed, "They were taken." She said. "By who?" Jackson asked before Jordan walked in, covered in soot.

"The Oni." He said and Iris grabbed his arm, looking at him worriedly. "Dad." Gia whispered, quickly wrapping her arms around her father, who wrapped his arm around her shoulders before glancing around confused. "Where's Valen?" He asked, looking at Iris, making her sigh softly.

Lydia crouched down, looking at the ash on the ground while Jackson, Malia and Iris stood off to the side, Jordan looking around a little ways away with Gia. Jackson had a bored look on his face while Malia had a mix of boredom and anxious look on hers and Iris was just anxious.

"These were rapid burns. There is something systemic about it." Lydia said as she stood up, "Is she gonna keep talking like this?" Malia asked, looking at Jackson. "I stopped listening six hours ago." Jackson said, making Iris look at him weird as Jordan and Gia walked up to her, "Why are you even here?" Iris asked and Jackson shrugged slightly while Malia sighed.

"All right. I'm sorry. I'm not gonna spend the rest of the day walking through the woods trying to catch a pyromaniac." Malia said as she walked over to Iris, Jordan and Gia. "I'm not either. I can't- I have to find my daughter." Iris said and Jackson raised his eyebrows, "Do you have a better plan?" Jackson asked and Malia shrugged.

"We already know what kills the Oni." She said, "Silver." Jordan said and Malia pointed at him, "You guys with me?" She asked, looking at him and Iris, who both nodded. "Go. Get all the silver you can. And if you find the Oni, don't fight them. Kill them." Lydia said and Iris nodded, "Happily." She said before Malia gave her a two finger salute then she, Iris, Jordan and Gia walked away.

Jordan opened the back doors to a car before he and Iris started opening cases to reveal weapons made from silver. "We should grab whatever we can." Jordan said and Iris nodded before Malia walked over, grabbing a mini tomahawk. "I'm taking this." She said before walking away, making Iris chuckle softly and shake her head.

"Do I get a weapon?" Gia asked as she leaned against the side of the car, "Nope." Jordan said.

"But shouldn't I be able to defend myself from the Oni?" Gia asked and Iris looked at her with raised eyebrows, "You leave that up to your parents." Iris said. Gia groaned slightly before walking away. Iris watched him in amusement for a moment before she picked up a gun.

Jordan stared at her with a small smile, making her glance at him before giving him a look. "Don't worry, it's not the look. It's more of a... 'you look really hot holding a gun' look." He said and she hummed, looking at him with an amused look.

She hooked her hand behind his neck, pulling him down into a kiss, making him smile against her lips as he grabbed her hips. After a moment, Iris pulled back but before she could say anything, Gia leaned against the car again. "If you guys do have another baby, can it be a boy? I would like to have a brother." Gia said and Jordan gestured to her, while Iris rolled her eyes in amusement.

"If we don't die tonight, we can talk about the look." Iris said before turning back to the cases, "Huh. Then I'm definitely not dying tonight." Jordan said, going back to loading his gun, as she laughed softly.

"Eli." Derek said as Eli slowly started to wake up, "Eli, hey. Can you hear me?" Derek asked before someone lightly nudged Eli's foot. Eli lifted his head up to find Derek standing across from him, looking at him worriedly. He quickly glanced to the side to find Valen standing next to him before noticing the restraints around their wrists.

"We're not dead." He said, looking at his parents, "Not yet." Liam said, making Eli look over to find Liam and Hikari tied to a statue, Mason tied to a statue across from them. Stilinski and Deaton were sitting on the ground, tied up behind Derek, Omari and Cecile on the ground tied up behind Eli and Valen. "Where are we?" Eli asked as he glanced around, "It's just an illusion." Omari said.

The Hale family and Valen stood under a torii gate on top of some stone, their wrists tied to the wood of the structure. The sky was pitch black and the ground around the stone structure they stood on was covered in thick fog. It looked like some kind of abandoned Japanese garden and a ways away sat the Nemeton.

A little ways away, four Oni appeared before turning to the group and walking forward. "What about them?" Valen asked, making everyone follow her line of sight to see the Oni before four more showed up. The Oni all formed a line, watching the group.
