[Chapter Fourteen]

The sound of keys tapping was mainly the only noise in the room. Occasionally, we would hear some shouting or loud voices coming from down the hall, but other than that, the hospital was pretty quiet this late at night.

I flicked the soda can tab, watching Y/n from across the room. She was sitting in the bed, her braced leg extended out on the mattress. The computer was in her lap, her face illuminated by the screen. Her eyebrows were furrowed together, her gaze flicking across the screen as she opened and closed tabs, scrolled through files, and typed things elsewhere.

Her face scrunched up as I threw a wrapper at her, hitting her in the cheek. She slowly turned her head to look at me. I smirked at her.

"Is there something you want, Katsuki?" She asked, a tinge of annoyance in her voice.

"You're gonna get a headache," I said, throwing another wrapper at her.

This time, she caught it. "I'll be fine."

"You already have a headache, don't you?"

"It's small," She mumbled. I quirked a brow at her. "Why don't you go to bed?"

"So you can be up all night alone? Nah, it's better to stay up and annoy you,"

I threw another wrapper at her and she reached out to catch it, but her hand missed it completely. She held her hand there for a moment before she looked around to see where it had landed. I frowned a bit.

"Are you alright?" I asked, rising to my feet.

"Yeah, it's just the headache," She said, waving me off. She turned her attention back toward the screen.

I walked toward her, my lips tugging into a frown. I held my hand beside her head, waiting for her to notice it in her peripheral vision. She never did. I snapped my fingers and counted to three before she jumped and turned.

She stared at me with wide eyes, surprised to see me standing right beside her bed. I snatched the laptop from her lap, slammed it shut, and tossed it into the chair I was sitting in.

"Katsuki? What are you—"

"Sally sells seashells," I sat in front of her. "Repeat it."

"W-What? Why?" She frowned, and I noticed the right side of her lips pulling a bit further.

"Do it."

"Sally sells seashells," She said. I felt my heart drop into my stomach. For her, she must have thought she said them perfectly fine. She didn't.
