[Chapter Thirty-Five]
"Don't even think about doin' anything stupid,"
I rolled my eyes at Katsuki. I leaned against the table in my trashed lab, folding my arms over my chest. He stood across from me, his arms crossed across his broad chest.
"Don't worry," I huffed. "I'll be too preoccupied cleaning this mess up."
"You're the one who did it," He shrugged. "It's your own damn fault."
My eye twitched. "Don't you have a mission to be on, Dynamight?"
He uncrossed his arms and grabbed my hip, yanking me close to him. "Not until you kiss me."
"Now, I think I faintly remember you saying something about me always wanting to kiss you," I hummed, tapping my lip teasingly.
"Kiss me or I'm leaving."
I hooked my finger through one of the straps running across his chest and pulled him down, pressing my lips to his. I could feel his body relax, his other hand finding my back as he pulled me flush against him.
"Love you," He mumbled against my lips.
"I love you too," I hummed. "Please be careful."
"Always am," He said, kissing me once more before he pulled away. "Have fun cleanin' this shit up."
"Oh, it'll be a blast," I sighed.
Katsuki chuckled, waving a hand over his shoulder as he stepped through the mess across the floor. "Later, sweets."
"Bye, Katsudon."
Soon after Katsuki left my lab, I could hear them departing from the school. I couldn't help but wander to the windows outside of my lab, watching then file down the streets, some using their quirks while others climbed into vehicles to be transported. In the distance, I could see Katsuki's head pieces, and Kirishima's bright red hair as the two of them left the school.
UA became eerily silent after that. The once noisy and crowded halls were now completely empty and quiet. The small chatter of the teachers had disappeared. The only sound that filled the otherwise silent air was the noise I was making from my lab as I began to clean up the mess I'd made the night before.
After a long lecture from Katsuki about not showing up like I was prone to doing, he made me a compromise. If, by the time, they'd gotten back from the mission and I'd gotten my lab straightened out, he'd treat me to a dinner. Now, I know that was only blackmail, but a free dinner for something I planned on doing anyway? Just an added bonus.
