Chapter Thirty-Six

Everything is in chaos. Dalawang buwan na ang nakakalipas magmula nang press conference pero nagkakagulo pa rin ang lahat. Ryle was having the time of his life watching his boss become more and more miserable each day that passes. Two weeks after Ryle saved his boss' marriage, the wife filed an annulement. Of course, the man hired the best lawyers to save his ass. Unfortunately for him, nawalan nginvestors ang kompanya niya at nawalan rin siya ng pera.

Kasabay ng kaso ng boss nila, the members of Ryle's band filed a case to finally terminate their contract. Ryle secretly met up with his boss' past mistresses and found out he wasn't paying child support. Tinulungan din sila ni Ryle para madagdagan ang kaso sa boss nila. One lawsuit was filed after the other and eventually, they arrested him. On-going ang mga kaso sa lalaki.

As for his band, the agency recently annouenced their disbandment. Of course, they remained friends just like they were before the fame. Their fans were heartbroken, but Zach, Aiden, Skyler, and Konan promised them an album. As for Ryle, buo na ang desisyon niyang magpapahinga sa showbiz. Hindi nga lang niya alam kung babalik pa ba siya o mas pipiliin na ang katahimikan.

Hindi rin muna sila nagkikita ni Liway. She was away and sheltered. Siyempre, hindi na rin nawala sa isip ng mga tao ang dalaga. Every now and then, may nakikita pa rin si Ryle na pangalan niya.

Recently, nalaman niyang umuwi si Chanel galing France. Kukunin na lang daw ng dalaga ang mga gamit niya. Ryle took that chance to finally settle things with her once and for all. Ngayong araw ay magkikita sila. Because Ryle is still not ready to go out in public, sa private resort na pag-aari ng pamilya ni Chanel sila nagkita.

Ryle arrived earlu, and surprisingly, Chanel was there earlier.

"Hi," Ryle let out an awkward smile. Ngumiti lang sa kaniya si Chanel bilang sagot. "How are you?"

"I'm fine. You?"

Napansin nga ni Ryle ang pagbuti ng lagay ng dalaga mula nang huli niya itong makita. Chanel seemed healthier and happier now. It made him happy.

"Life is getting better. Chanel, I just want to clear everything."

Umiling si Chanel. "Hindi mo na kailangang gawin 'yon. I realized my mistakes."

"But I'll still ask for your forgiveness."

"Naiintindihan na kita ngayon. You don't have to say sorry, Ryle. Its not your fault you can't love me back. Listen, I don't want to hear your forgiveness. As much as possible, iniiwan ko na ang lahat sa nakaraan. At least I know you're sorry."

"Thank you."

Tiningnan siya ni Chanel nang diretso. "Kumusta na pala kayo ni Liway?"

Ryle sighed. "Hindi pa kami nag-uusap. Pinakiusapan kong magtago muna para hindi madamay sa gulo."

Tumango si Chanel. "You're really doing drastic measures for her, ano? You really love her."

"I do."

"And mahal ka rin niya. I saw it in her eyes."

"Nag-usap kayo?"

Tumango si Chanel. "I guess hindi mo pa alam 'yon, but we talked before. Nasaktan siya dahil sa mga ginawa ko."

"Chanel. . ."

Chanel giggled and checked her phone. "Hindi ako magda-drama, ano ka ba? Aalis na ako. Babalik na ako sa France mamaya, eh."

"So, this is goodbye?"

Tumango si Chanel. She was hesitant at first, but when Ryle smiled and opened his arms, she ran to hug him. It was not an intimate hug, but still made Chanel feel at peace.
