(Y/n) was currently outside, her jersey swaying a bit in the wind as the cool night sky bit her cheeks with the cold air. Everyone had just finished dinner and some were inside the gym practice while others who were sleeping early were getting ready for bed. Her team was one of the teams that were training with Nekoma, and Coach Hiroto had told (Y/n) that she could just chill out for tonight.
So now here she was, sitting on a bench outside under a tree while looking up at the stars. Her eyes were looking side to side, remembering her time with Oikawa, trying to find some constellations. Her eyes softened a bit recalling the memory, and a small smile formed on her face as she looked to have recognized the constellation of Orion. It was a nice hobby, and she found herself enjoying the little hunt for new constellations around her. She mentally thanked Oikawa as she continued to gaze a bit more, letting herself relax a bit as she deeply inhaled the crisp air.
Closing her eyes, she reminisced a bit about her time here at the training camp. Meeting new teams, making some new friends, some nice, some fun, some definitely questionable... She chuckled a bit to herself thinking about a certain bed head and owl. Despite the trouble she had had the past two days with her father, she would be lying if she said that she wasn't having a little bit of fun here. And sometimes, she found herself genuinely enjoying her time with the other teams, but she knew there was a bigger picture to this training camp. And even without her new found friendships, she knew that in the end, they were rivals she was going to have to face sooner or later.
She felt a heavy weight on her shoulders letting out a heavy sigh at the troublesome burdens that she was cursed it.
"(Y/n)?"
Her eyes opened her, as a familiar voice caught her attention. She straightened her back and looked to her left to see a familiar olive haired boy with a purple jacket on.
Ushijima was currently on a small jog to finish his night. He found that going on a jog before he went to bed helped him fall asleep faster, so it became a nightly routine. But he didn't expect to see Suibotsu's manager sitting outside. Last thing he remembered was that she was sick with a fever.
"Oh Ushijima." she muttered, relaxing a bit into the bench and crossing her arms over her chest. "What're you doing here?"
"I'm on a jog, I found that it helped me sleep faster." He said bluntly walking up closer to her.
"Ah I see." She chuckled.
Ushijima looked down at her before looking at the spare space next to her on the bench. "Do you mind if I sit with you?" He asked, pointing at the bench.
(Y/n) just looked and nodded, "Mm." She hummed in response, scooting over to the side a little bit and patting the empty space next to her for him to sit, "Here." She said.
Ushijima nodded, talking the seat next to her and sitting down. The cold wind felt nice after a jog and it helped him cool down as he tried to steady his racing heartbeat from the run.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, looking at her a bit, seeing her just gazing into the night sky.
"Ah... I just came to clear out my head a little bit." She said, looking at him from the corner of her eye.
"I see... Does it help?"
(Y/n) just shrugged her shoulders, leaning back a bit and stuffing her hands into her jacket pocket. "I guess a little bit. How about you, do you feel a bit more relaxed?"
"I suppose so." Ushijima replied, "How is your fever?"
(Y/n) chuckled a bit, "I sound like I'm getting interviewed," Ushijima looked at her with a confused look with made her laugh a little harder, "I think it's a little better, don't worry. I should be fine in the next 2 days." She stretched her arms a bit, groaning a bit before relaxing again onto the wooden bench.
