A grin painted your lips as you messed around with Wonyoung on the stage. You wrapped your arms around her as you playfully sang a love song to her. She pushed your mic away and giggled loudly, making you smile wider. That was what you did best in your group. It's what you took pride in. Not your dancing, or your singing, or your looks. No, you loved to make your members and your fans smile and laugh.
You were broken from what you were doing when your manager came up to you and the girls. "Alright, girls. Time to get back to rehearsing. Get in position, please!" He called out.
You all did as you were told and got ready to practice the first song, My Satisfaction.
You had made it halfway through the song, when you got to do your chorus lines. You strutted to the center and began to sing, but you accidentally misstepped.
You screamed out in pain when your ankle rolled and you collapsed to the ground. Your mic hit the ground with a loud thud and rolled away, but you couldn't care less. Pain shot up your leg, making you cry out a second time. Tears stained your cheeks as you held your ankle.
Almost immediately, the girls, your manager, and a medic were by your side. Yujin quickly crouched down and cupped your cheeks, while your manager and a medic checked out your ankle.
Your breathing was erratic and fast-paced as Yujin made you look into her eyes. The girls stood around you, looking down at you with worry. They've never seen you in so much pain and crying so hard.
You tried to focus on Yujin, who pressed her forehead against yours. "Breathe, Yoonah, breathe for me. You will be okay, I promise. You can cry, but take a deep breath first. I know it hurts, I know," she murmured.
Hyunseo joined you on the ground, her eyes glassy and a few tears already wetting her cheeks. You were still crying due to the pain being overwhelming, and the sight was heartbreaking for all of them, but especially for the maknae. She hated seeing any of you injured and in pain-it made her feel sick to her stomach.
"Unnie..." Hyunseo's voice came out shaky. She dove forward and hugged you tightly, in hopes that it would relieve some of the pain somehow. She looked over at the medic with wide, worried eyes, her arms still wrapped around you. "Will she be okay?" She asked quietly.
The medic nodded, a smile small on her face. "Don't worry, darling, she'll be just fine. I believe it's just a sprain, a fracture at most," she explained. She then told them that they had to take you to the hospital.
You began to panic and breathe heavily again. Gaeul crouched down and hugged you from behind. "Don't worry, dongsaeng, we'll be by your side the whole time," she said.
Her words calmed you down a bit. You allowed your manager to lift you up bridal style and carry you to the company van. The girls trailed behind quickly, extremely worried for you.
What you were most worried about, however, (besides the excruciating pain), was the fact that you're certain you wouldn't be able to participate in the concert as you would like to. You knew you would have to be confined to a chair the entire time.
"I'm sorry, girls," you said quietly, breaking the tense silence of the car ride. "Everything is ruined now."
Everyone's eyes widened. Jiwon pouted, looking at you with an incredulous look on her face. "Aniya~ Gom-ah, it's not your fault, and nothing is ruined! We can still do the concert, you'll just have to sit. And we all know what you're thinking, and I promise you, DIVE won't be disappointed with you. If anything, they'll be worried and wishing that you recover quickly." She spoke a mile a minute, but you all clearly understood her.
You slowly let a smile peek through, and nodded your head.
"Okay... I love you guys. Thank you. I'll work hard to put on a good performance!" You assured them.
Wonyoung grinned and hugged you tightly.
"Love you too," they all said in unison.
