You're a contestant on a popular, ongoing survival show hosted by a big company, alongside seventeen other girls. Well, the show's been going on for a month at this point, and the competition is really big, so the number of contestants is down to thirteen now.

For the current mission, you've been put into a group with four other girls, and you're to do a dance and vocal cover of LE SSERAFIM's Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard's Wife, which is an extremely difficult song to do and requires a lot of stamina and breath control to sing and dance at the same time, which is (luckily) something you're good at.

But the thing is, you're not in a good mood today. You had spent the entire last night crying to yourself—quietly, as to not wake up your roommates in your dorm. You've been feeling extremely homesick lately, and it's been taking a toll on you. You're just thankful that it hasn't affected any of your activities and missions on the show.

"Yoonah. Earth to Yoonah!"

You snapped out of your thoughts and turned to look at one of your team members, Son Minyoung. She's the group leader, and she's covering Sakura's lines for the song. You and your teammates were sitting in a circle on the floor as you took a break from practice.

"Yes, Unnie?" You questioned quietly.

Minyoung stood up, so you followed suit after seeing everyone else do the same. "Break time is over. Let's get to work, everyone," the older stated.

Not even ten minutes into resuming dance practice, you were beginning to feel awful. Not sick, but just straight up horrible. Like you really need to cry. Things were just feeling a little too frustrating and overwhelming.

And so you did. You stopped dancing, covered your eyes from the girls, and walked to the corner of the room. You were quick to drop to the floor, and even quicker to burst into tears. Your shoulders shook as you cried into your hand.

Your teammates were immediately by your side, panicking over what to do. Minyoung was about to speak up and ask you what's wrong, but before she could, there was a knock on the studio door, which confused everyone, including you. Your team wasn't supposed to be checked on for another hour. Who could be at the door?

As you sniffled harshly and messily wiped at your tears, your teammate named Seowon stood up and jogged to the door to open it. From where you and the other girls were, the door blocked all of you from the view of who Seowon opened the door to, but you could clearly see the look of shock on her face.

Seowon quickly recovered, though. She bowed politely, before going back to worrying about you, who was still crying (your attempt to stop was… in vain). "Hello, sunbaenims. I'm sorry, but we've got a little bit of a problem to solve," she said to the unexpected guests.

You heard a few gasps and noises of curiosity. Then a voice spoke up. It was familiar. "Oh? What's the matter?"

Seowon frowned and looked at you. "It's our teammate. We don't know." She stepped back to allow the people to walk in.

A few seconds later, the members of LE SSERAFIM were standing in the room. They were all immediately overcome with worry, however, upon seeing you on the floor with your teammates surrounding you. Sakura walked up without hesitation. She kindly gestured for your team members to give you some space, and you watched her with timid eyes as you continued to snivel.

She slowly crouched down before you with a soft smile. "Hey, sweetie. Is it alright if I hold your hand?" She questioned quietly. You nodded. She reached out and grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers as she fully took a seat next to you. She sat close to you so that you could have a private conversation.

"So what's bothering you, love?" She asked once more. Her voice was sweet and low, comforting you and also coaxing you to share your troubles with her. "Unnie's here to listen to everything. I have all the time in the world today." She really didn't, but she wasn't worried about that.

You sighed. "I… I miss my home. My family and friends," you explained. "I haven't seen my mom and dad in months, Unnie, and things a-are- are getting so hard for me, and I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't- I shouldn't even be on this show."

"Oh," Sakura cooed, frowning deeply, "please don't say that, Yoonah." She knows your name? "The girls and I have been watching this show from the start, and we've seen you shining with your talent, I promise. But it's okay to have days like that. You're human. It's impossible to feel good about ourselves all the time, you know? But you can get through it easier when you're surrounded by people who love and support you."

Your heart skipped a beat after she spoke. You felt warm. It was almost surreal that you were even talking to her, but you feel better now that you have. The way she spoke left your heart feeling lighter than it has in a few days. You're extremely thankful for her being here with you and comforting you—especially given the fact that you don't even know each other.

"Thank you, Unnie," you whispered to her.

You couldn't help the fresh tears that brimmed your eyes. And she seemed to have noticed quickly, because she gently pulled you into her embrace, hugging you tightly. "Don't cry~ Don't cry~ Unnie doesn't like it when her dongsaengs cry!" She whined.

You giggled and rested your head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Unnie, but you're so good with words that it made me cry!" You both laughed together at that.

After a few moments, she pulled away and helped you stand to your feet, and then she led you to everyone else with a small smile on both of your faces.

"Group hug, everybody!" Eunchae called out when she noticed you and the eldest walking up.

Everyone grinned widely, especially your teammates, and came together to join a big hug, leaving everyone's hearts light and cheerful, yours included.

When that was over, the five idols got ready to go, much to everyone's dismay. What had shocked you was when Eunchae purposefully moved to stand near you in the group hug and excitedly slipped a piece of paper into your pocket, telling you afterwards that it was her phone number and that she would text you the rest of the girls' numbers.

(a/n: for clarification, eunchae isn't making a move on y/n / yoonah lol just a friendly # exchange haha)

"Thank you for stopping by, sunbaenims!" Minyoung exclaimed as you all walked the girls to the door, bowing afterwards.

"Fighting!" The members cheered before leaving. Sakura made eye contact with you as she walked out, smiling softly and nodding her head.

"Fighting," you whispered to yourself.
