"Today is the perfect day for a beach trip!" You exclaimed as you threw your hat aside. A wide grin graced your lips.

You looked out at the vast, crystal-like ocean before you. The waves crashing against the shore soothed you, as did the feeling of the warm sand beneath your bare feet.

You and the girls have had a packed schedule for the last two weeks. Of course, you've had small breaks every now and then, but today marks the first of three days off, and all of you were more than excited. You had been the one to suggest a beach trip to the girls, who instantly agreed. So here you are.

Everyone set down their stuff. You had already done so before everyone else, due to you running ahead out of excitement. Chaewon and Yunjin laid out everyone's towels, before lying down on their own. Sakura, Kazuha, and Eunchae headed into the water to play together. You opted on just standing in the shin-deep water, because of one important thing;

You can't swim.

It's a well-known fact that you can't swim at all, but that wasn't about to stop you from enjoying your time at the beach.

After a couple minutes of taking photos, however, you were beginning to get a little bored. You looked back at Chaewon and Yunjin, but you decided that you didn't want to sit down. You want to play in the water, which caused you to pout, because you don't know how.

And you ended up making a stupid decision.

It all happened so fast.

You took several steps, feeling yourself walk deeper into the blue ocean with each one. Knee deep. Mid thigh. Waist. Chest. And that was the point where you realized how dumb of a decision it was that you made. You had just wanted to join Sakura, Kazuha, and Eunchae. But you looked around and realized that you drifted a little further than you meant to.

And then you couldn't feel the ground beneath you. You felt yourself slip underwater, but were quick to use your arms and push yourself up. But you began to panic, causing you to flail your arms a bit. You kept going under, and the feeling was terrifying you. Fear coursed through your veins.

You choked out a scream as you dipped back under. Pulled back under the surface of the water, and overcome with fright, you accidentally inhaled water. You immediately felt your lungs burning, and squeezed your eyes shut. The sensation had your face scrunched up in pain as you tried to fight your way back up to the top, but the waves prevented that.

Several feet away, Sakura, Kazuha, and Eunchae heard the scream. Their eyebrows furrowed. The person sounded alarmed, so they looked around. They sounded near, so they didn't think it could possibly be you, seeing as you can't swim to save your life. But they still decided to be sure. Their eyes scanned the shore line, only to find that you weren't there. Their eyes widened ever-so-slightly.

"Okay, girls, don't panic. Let's go ask Yunjin and Chaewon if they've seen her," Sakura suggested.

Kazuha and Eunchae nodded, and the three of them quickly made their way to the shore.

"Yunjin-unnie! Chaewon-unnie!" Eunchae shouted as they jogged up to the aforementioned women.

The two of them looked up. "Yeah?" Chaewon questioned.

"Have you seen Yoonah? We didn't see her on the shore," Sakura explained.

Both Yunjin and Chaewon shook their heads, immediately overcome with worry. You've always been the type of person to tell someone if you're going to wander off and do something else, so for you to go missing, they were rightfully concerned.

The two members stood up. All of them, however, looked over at lightning speed when they heard screams and gasps from a spot at the shoreline, not too far from them. They all looked at each other. For some odd reason, they had a bad feeling.

As if they were all thinking the same thing, they took off running to the crowd of people that gathered, and pushed their way to the center.

What they saw had their hearts dropping.

You were lying on your back on the sand, pale, unconscious, and unmoving. A lifeguard was hovering over you at your side, performing CPR and administering rescue breaths in an attempt to resuscitate you.

The five of them screamed, before rushing to your side.

"What happened?" Chaewon asked loudly. All of them were instantly brought to tears at the sight of you.

The lifeguard continued to do his job, all while answering her. "We don't know. Luckily, I saw her drowning from my post, and a young man was already on his way to her. I met him halfway, and we carried her body to the shore from the water," he explained.

"No," Kazuha cried, holding your hand tightly.

All of a sudden, your body jolted up, and in the blink of an eye, you were hunched over to the side, coughing up mouthfuls of salt water. Tears stung your already burning eyes. Your throat was on fire, as were your lungs, as you tried to get in a proper breath.

You were quickly brought into a tight embrace. You looked up through blurred vision and were met with Eunchae. She held you tightly, as if she were afraid you would slip away if she loosened her grip in the slightest. She was so scared, seeing you like that. She thought that maybe, just maybe, you wouldn't make it. She knows that she and the girls would never be able to move on if that happened.

The rest of the girls piled onto the hug, holding each other tightly for several moments, before an ambulance eventually showed up. Eventually, you were being lifted onto a stretcher and wheeled into the back of an ambulance with Sakura by your side, holding your hand tightly.
