The incessant string of steady beeps filled the quiet room, and that was accompanied by the faint sound of weeping. The smell of cleaning products and disinfectants was strong in the air, but not strong enough to cleanse it of the tense feeling that lingered. Nobody spoke a word, too scared too.

Hyunseo was curled up on Yujin lap, crying quietly into the leader's shoulder. They were sitting in a chair against the wall of the room. In the chair next to them, Rei was still as a statue, her eyes fixated on the hospital bed you were lying on. Wonyoung, Gaeul, and Jiwon were sitting at your bedside, the two elders holding your hands, while Wonyoung rubbed your blanket-covered thigh.

Hyunseo's crying was the first thing that regustered in your foggy mind as you felt yourself awaken. You blinked a few times, feeling a bit disoriented. You felt both of your hands being held, so you squeezed the hand holding your right one.

Almost immediately, Gaeul shot up in her seat from her previous position of resting her head on her arm which was thrown over your stomach.

"Yoonah!" The eldest breathed out in surprise. Her eyes widened as tears brimmed them. You smiled as you watched her bring your hand up to her lips and kiss the back of it several times. "Thank God. Our baby's okay. You're okay," she whispered against your skin. It seemed as though she was reassuring herself that you were awake and okay now.

Wonyoung and Jiwon seemed to have been in a deep sleep, as they didn't move a muscle, but Rei and Yujin heard Gaeul's words and looked over at the two of you with relieved smiles. Rei stood up and approached your bed, while Yujin gently shook the maknae in her grasp, before standing the two of them up and guiding the now-awake girl to you. Rei quickly awoke Wonyoung and Jiwon.

It broke all of their hearts to see you in a hospital bed like this. You had a nasal cannula supplying you with oxygen, an IV in your arm, and your skin was pale-however, it was thankfully no longer partially flushed and sweaty, as your fever was reduced, but you still looked sick. Your eyes were clearly heavy with exhaustion, as marked by the deep circles under your eyes. You just looked... miserable. It was clear as day that you were suffering, and that was the hardest thing for the girls to see. They hated it.

"Hey, guys," you whispered. You coughed afterwards, but plastered a small smile across your face regardless.

Hyunseo cried out in relief and reached down to pepper kisses all over you face, causing you to giggle quietly. Your throat was hurting a bit, after all. Hyunseo placed one last kiss on your forehead and looked at you with teary eyes. "We were so- s-so worried about you, Unnie!" She exclaimed. Wonyoung hugged the maknae tightly and rubbed her arm.

You sighed. "I'm sorry, guys. But I'm sure that it's nothing serious. Just some random chest pains, probably due to stress," you explained. Your tone of voice was rather uncertain, although you hadn't meant for it to be. Perhaps you were trying to convince yourself that it was nothing. That it would all blow over and you would be able to leave the hospital soon.

Rei looked at you with a worried glint in her warm eyes. She rubbed your shoulder. "We really hope so. I- I- We can't imagine what would happen if something happened to you, Yoonah," she said quietly, voice barely above a whisper. Your eyes watered. You were scared too; scared that something will happen to you, just as they all feared.

Just then, before you could reply, there was a knock on the door. Yujin responded with a friendly come in, and immediately after, a doctor entered the room with a clipboard in his hands. He seemed friendly. However, you couldn't shake the feeling of dread creeping up on you when you noticed the solemn look on his face. It seems that the girls noticed as well, seeing as they all grew nervous after just one look at him.
