"Unnie, I'm home!" You shouted, walking into the living room. Every day, after you get back from school, Yunjin's always in the living room, waiting for you to share your day with her.

Yunjin wasn't there, however. Seeing as you got no response from throughout the house as well, you assumed that maybe she was listening to music in her bedroom and lost track of time.

With that thought, you headed up the stairs.

That's when you noticed that the atmosphere of your home was rather dull and gloomy. Solemn, almost. You felt goosebumps raise on your arms, and halted in your steps. You had a feeling that you almost shouldn't continue up the stairs.

But you ignored it and continued. You want to see your sister.

I'm probably just overreacting. I've had a long day.

You reached Yunjin's bedroom door. Your eyes widened, however, when you saw that the doorknob was broken and laying on the floor. Your hand began to tremble. What could've happened?

And then it registered in your ears; you heard strained breathing.

Without another thought, you hastily threw the door open, ignoring the loud thud of it hitting the door stopper.

Your breath hitched when she saw the pool of blood. Then her body.

No. No, this isn't real.

You choked up, tears clouding your vision. You couldn't believe what you were seeing right before your eyes. It's a sight that you never thought you would see.

There Yunjin was, sprawled out on the floor, unmoving. Her clothing was drenched in scarlet blood, and her hands were pressed against her abdomen. Covering the bullet hole. Her eyes were cast up at the ceiling as pearl-like tears rolled down the side of her face, and her breathing was severely labored.

The sight broke your heart. You immediately ran up to her and collapsed beside her. You were quick to grab one of her hands and hold it tightly as you looked down at her.

"Unnie! Un-Unnie!" You cried. You began to sob as she slowly looked over at you. Her movements were sluggish and her eyes were unable to focus. She looked as if she were holding on only by a thread.

A whisper of a smile graced her lips. "Yoonah..." she whispered, "Yoonah," she called out again. Her eyes were distant as she looked at you. They were filled with tears.

You let out a loud sob and sniffled, whimpering afterwards.

"Y-Yes, Unnie?"

She began to choke before she could even have a chance to get her words out. You panicked when you saw blood spill past her pale lips and trickle down her ashen skin. You immediately turned her on her side, and her blood splattered against the hardwood floor.

Once she was done, she fell back onto her back and looked at you again. You brushed her hair out of her face and couldn't stop another whimper from escaping you.

"Yoonah... I... I-I lo- love you. Alway-ways," she whispered. Her voice came out hoarse. She coughed.

You tightened your grip on her hand, shaking your head frantically. "Unnie, no! N-No, don't- d-don't go! You can't! You c-can't leave me!" You wailed.

Through your blurred vision, you noticed that she wasn't reacting nor moving, so you quickly wiped your eyes and peered down at her. The sight completely shattered your heart. It was now broken to the point of it being irreparable.

Her chest was unmoving. Her body was completely still. Her face was relaxed and her eyes were lifeless.

"No! No, no, no! Unnie!"

You were overcome with distress as you screamed and cried loudly, occasionally pressing kisses to the back of her hand as you sobbed.

"Come back," you murmured.

You took multiple deep breaths and tried to collect yourself. After a few moments of silence, in which you cried more quietly, you lifted your trembling hand to close her eyes. You then carefully lied down next to her. You laid your head down on her chest, holding the older as close as you could, before allowing your eyes to slip shut.

"I love you too. Always."
