Chapter 10: Idiots (episode 7)

The three assassins had gone and located another governor. This one being called To-Me. He had a thing for stealing birthdays apparently. Onyx never had celebrated their birthday before. They didn't even know when it was.

Tsurugi had insisted on picking a date when he had learned that. He was determined to make Onyx have a special day of their own. Onyx did remember that date he picked and still would just tell themself 'happy birthday' whenever it came around.

"So, we're gonna follow this guy around until the kyurangers show up to beat the daylights out of him?" Onyx questioned.

"Yep. It's our best bet to finding them." Ikaagen nodded.

"Very well. Let's hope he doesn't disappoint us before we get to find the kyurangers."

It surprisingly was only a day later that they had their luck happen. To-Me had some weird sense over when someone was having a birthday party it seemed. He was able to track down one.

Balance was having a very obviously set up birthday party. When To-Me attacked him to try and steal his birthday, the kyurangers rushed out to protect him. They began to fight. The team this time appeared to be Balance, Naga, Lucky, Stinger, and Hammie. As To-Me attempted to target Balance again, Naga struck and stopped him from moving with his strange power.

"Now's your chance!"

The rest of the kyurangers rushed to attack, only for Madakko and Ikaagen to decide now was the chance to shoot at them. The kyurangers jumped back and looked up at them. Onyx was standing farther away. They weren't sure if the kyurangers could even see them where they currently stood.

"You bastards..." Stinger growled.

"Just the people I wanted to see, kyurangers." Ikaagen said.

"I'm your opponent, you takos." Madakko added.

"Watch out. They're not like the others." Stinger warned the rest of the group.

"My name is Madakko. Remember that."

"My name is Ikaagen. Have you said your prayers?"

This was looking worse and worse by the minute.

"You must not fight them! Run!" Someone yelled through their blasters.

Hopefully they would listen. They were not in any condition to be picking this fight right now.

"How can you say that?" Lucky asked.

Great... Onyx sighed. Go figure that they'd not give it up.

Madakko and Ikaagen jumped down and began attacking the kyurangers. Onyx watched from above. Hopefully after a little beat down they'd realize they definitely should retreat.

Unfortunately, that wasn't seeming to be happening. The kyurangers were all fighting a losing battle now. And to make matters worse, Balance had his birthday stolen. Onyx wasn't sure what to do. Why weren't they falling back? They were going to get killed at this point!

Madakko and Ikaagen struck all of them down. The five kyurangers laid on the ground, writhing in pain. This was bad. That same voice was yelling for them to retreat again, but it was clear none of them were capable of moving enough to do that.

Onyx grabbed their kyutama and held it up. If they did this... there was no going back. Jark Matter would know there was one more kyuranger and stop at nothing to find them as well. But if they didn't do this, they would break their promise.

They activated their kyutama and shoved it into their chest quickly. They transformed and rushed down into the fray. As Madakko shot at them, Onyx jumped in and deflected the blows.
