Chapter 40: I Promised To Watch Over You! (episode 47)

The remaining Kyurangers had gathered onto the ship. The mood was low, but everyone was determined to continue the fight. They couldn't give up now. Too much had happened for them to just sit back and watch the end of the world unfold before their eyes.

"Hey, what is he doing?!" Garu asked as they all watched a video of Don Armage.

"It looks like he's absorbing the Earth's Planesium." Stinger said.

"Yeah. He mentioned that." Champ nodded.

"Then, the commander's also..." Hammie trailed off.

"Planesium is the source of what gives planets life." Balance stated. "The commander's probably turned into Planesium and become a part of Don Armage."

"Then there's a chance everyone in the galaxy will be sucked in?!" Spada questioned.

"According to my calculations, he will be fully restored in 99 hours." Raptor said.

"We must go right now." Naga stated.

"But... does that mean killing Tsurugi is our only choice?" Hammie questioned.

Lucky stood up from where he had been sitting. He had been thinking over what more they could do in this situation. He had to keep his promise to Onyx. There had to be a way to save Tsurugi.

"Listen, everyone." Lucky got everyone else's attention. "I've only got one plan. But to do it, I will need you all to risk your lives. So I won't force you to do it. Think about it, and gather here tomorrow if you're on board."

He began to explain the idea that he had come up with. It was risky, but it was the only shot they had to potentially make things work out.

After the meeting, Lucky found himself in the infirmary. He stood before the bed they had placed Onyx's body on.

"I swear to you... I will save Tsurugi. I won't let you have died in vain." Lucky whispered. "Maybe you could've stopped him before it got this bad... I'm sorry I can't do things as well as you. Wherever you are... I hope you and the commander are together..."

He didn't even realize he had started crying until he saw wet spots on the blanket covering Onyx's body. He wiped away the tears. He would do it. Whether or not everyone joined him, he was going to do this.

"Please watch over us..." Lucky said, bowing his head.

The next day, he stood at the table in the bridge. It was just him for now. Soon, whoever was on board with his idea would make their way in. Lucky felt anxious. He may have taken on the role of leader, but he doubted he could be as good as the commander had been. Would everyone listen to him?

"So it's time..." Lucky said to himself.

The door opened not long after. Everyone made their way into the room. They all were willing to see this plan through to the end.

"Everyone is... reporting for duty." Hammie stated.

"Guys..." Lucky smiled.

"We're willing to risk everything on your plan." Stinger said. "We put our lives in your hands..."

"Okay." Lucky nodded to everyone. "Leave it to me."

They all placed their hands together. This was it. They had one chance to do this.

They deployed to where Don Armage was at. There were a lot of indavers below. This was a lot of enemies.

"Don Armage is in the center of that." Stinger commented.
