There was some time before they would get to where they needed to be. Onyx had isolated themself for a bit. Even if Lucky had apologized, they still felt guilty about it. They should've told him. They shouldn't have tried to hide this from him.
Onyx finally returned to the bridge. They walked in on a discussion of Garu's current condition. He had been stabilized. He would hopefully make a full recovery. But for now, he was out of the equation.
"Everyone." The commander addressed them all now that Onyx had returned. "This will be the last battle with Jark Matter. There may be more casualties. Please keep that in mind."
Lucky seemed lost in his head for most of the conversation.
"Pull yourself together, Lucky." Tsurugi noticed as well.
"Nothing's wrong with me..." Lucky replied.
"You have to be resolute." Tsurugi stated, "Do you choose your father or the galaxy? If you had to pick one, which would it be?"
"Just one...?" Lucky repeated. "I can't."
"If you're indecisive, you'll lose both and we'll be wiped out. The legend will end there."
"Now, now. I don't see why we can't resolve to do both." Onyx tried to interject.
"One life, or many, onii-chan. That's what it comes down to." Tsurugi stated.
Onyx sighed. There was no getting through to him of any other ways to go about this.
"We're about to exit the tunnel." Raptor stated.
"What is this? There's more space inside the planet." Champ said.
There was a vast world they had entered into. Onyx looked around. It had been a while. It felt so familiar still. They had lived here for so many years. If only they had happier memories of this place.
"No. Aren't those stars actually the lights from the surrounding cities?" Balance asked.
The screen zoomed in on a weird item.
"What's that thing connected to a bunch of pipes?" Hammie asked.
"It looks like the planet's core." Spada replied.
With a scan, it appeared that was the case.
"I wonder if Don Armage is there." Kotaro said.
Suddenly there was a loud bang and alarms started to sound. The screen changed and revealed a bunch of moraimars coming toward them.
"A welcome party for us already?" Tsurugi said. "Commander."
"Yeah, but I don't think I'll enjoy this." The commander replied. "Raptor, Naga, look into that core. Everyone else, deploy!"
"Okyuu!"
Everyone started going to their stations. Onyx paused at a sound of pain from behind them. They glanced back. Tsurugi was gripping his chest and wincing in pain. Their kyutama started sending off the warning signal of someone dying to them again.
"Tsurugi." Onyx held out a hand to him. "Can you still fight?"
Tsurugi took their hand. "I can. I promise, onii-chan."
"Let's go. But please tell me if it gets too much."
"I will."
Everyone got into their voyagers and set off to attack the moraimars. There were a lot of them, that was for sure. Then again, this was the main area. It was going to be quite heavily guarded. It would be more concerning if they weren't met with heavy resistance.
