Chapter 20: Disagreements (episode 23)

The next day, Tsurugi was on the move again. Onyx walked beside him, Spada and Raptor were a few paces behind. The walk was mostly silent. Onyx had no idea where exactly Tsurugi was going right now. He obviously had somewhere he was heading for, but they couldn't figure it out for the life of them. Just what was he trying now?

"Um... where are we going?" Raptor asked.

"To solve a mystery." Tsurugi replied.

"You mean, why Don Armage is still alive?"

He told them about that? Guess they shouldn't be that surprised. Since Onyx wouldn't tell him why someone he definitely had killed was still alive, of course he'd go and search for answers himself.

"That must be hard to swallow. After all, he is currently ruling our galaxy." Spada said.

Tsurugi didn't respond to what they were saying. They came to a stop.

"We're here." Tsurugi said.

Onyx glanced around. Where had he taken them?

"A Jark Matter broadcast station?"

Tsurugi remained silent and started walking to it. Onyx glanced back at Spada and Raptor. Both seemed equally confused about what was going on. The three of them followed behind Tsurugi.

"Do you know why Don Armage is still alive?" Spada asked Onyx quietly.

"Perhaps." Onyx kept their answer vague.

Before they could continue the conversation, they had entered the station already. Tsurugi wasted no time overthrowing the indavers and making way for himself in the place. Onyx sighed. Was he trying to get himself killed? Broadcasting his face everywhere was only asking for trouble.

"Keep them at bay for me, would you?" Tsurugi said.

He went to kick the indaver currently broadcasting away. Raptor told the rest of the kyurangers to turn on the TV. Spada held the other indavers back at gun point (blaster point?). Onyx stood by Raptor as she set up the camera to roll on Tsurugi. This was going to be interesting, that was for sure.

The broadcast began and Tsurugi began talking.

"Fair tidings to everyone in the galaxy. I am the immortal Ohtori Tsurugi. As the first president of the Space Federation, I am the true savior. And... I'm the only man who has defeated Don Armage."

Except he kind of didn't. Well, he kind of did, but Don Armage found a new host. Onyx really wasn't sure if they should say Tsurugi did or didn't actually kill Don Armage anymore. It was a very complicated thing.

"Ending the broadcast."

Onyx glanced back at Spada. At some point during that, he had tied up the indavers. That made things a bit easier. However, there were people here as well. They probably shouldn't be here.

Onyx heard Tsurugi talking to Raptor. He mentioned something about now waiting for an enemy. So that was the point of all of this? There were a lot easier ways to summon an enemy than this.

"Start rolling!"

Onyx glanced up. A Tsyuoindaver had shown up. That was an enemy. Probably not the type Tsurugi had been hoping for, though.

"Capture my exciting fight!"

The enemy jumped down and rushed at Tsurugi. With ease, he was able to knock him down.

"My word." Tsurugi exclaimed. "We caught a small fry."

Onyx rolled their eyes. He had been hoping for a better enemy?
